We loved our stay at Fairmont the Palm. The hotel is very welcoming, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We were Half Board and the food offerings were exceptional. Alcohol is expensive but I guess that's Dubai for you! Every member of staff we encountered, from concierge to reception to the restaurants and bars, was super friendly and made sure anything we requested was provided. Our room was a good size and perfectly clean every day (thank you Praveen). We would have no hesitation, given the opportunity, to stay at Fairmont the Palm again. Thank you.More
Stayed for 14 nights in November 2022 and we really loved this hotel. Wide choice of pools and immaculately clean everywhere. Very happy we went for the Gold upgrade, which whilst very expensive to do so it alleviated the very high drink prices with the two hours of “free” drinks every day though I’d have preferred 6.00-8.00 than the actual 5.00-7.00. Also the availability of the Gold afternoon tea and evening canapés pretty much turned our half board to full board. The service in the Gold lounge was exceptional - first class. Aliae, the assistant Gold manager was a credit to the hotel, both in communication before we travelled in booking Gold and during the whole time we were there. I’d advised we’d arrive at 10.00am and she said she’d do her best to secure early check in. She took us to breakfast in the Gold Lounge at 11.00 and arrived at our table at midday to tell us our room was ready, a short stroll away on the 9th floor where our bags were waiting. Later a chocolate camel gift arrived and after one week a fabulous complimentary fruit bowl was left without request. During our stay Aliae was smiley and helpful and highly attentive and she resolved with great tenacity a problem with our departing airport transfer, despite it being a BA issue and nothing to do with the hotel. Aliae is a star and an absolute asset to this hotel. In the Gold Lounge the service from Vaibhav, Asanka, Jiahcia and Mimi was just superb and we enjoyed chatting with each of them on many occasions as they looked after and served us so very well. The restaurants were all excellent, amongst the best I’ve experienced in a holiday hotel. I’d have liked more choice as we don’t favour buffets and my partner isn’t a big meat eater, so although we went to the Brazilian, excellent though it was, the supplement for us wasn’t worth it. This left us with just 3 restaurants on half board, being Little Miss India, Seagrill and Boldly Asian. All excellent but becoming tedious after 4 visits each. I noted the imminent opening of the new Beirut Cafe which looks splendid so I hope it is included on the half board offering. I found the drink and food prices very high, but I guess that’s just Dubai and I went there aware of that. But on that topic, the one big criticism is the pricing strategy in the World Cup Fanzone. I appreciate this is a very occasional issue, but as a football fan I got very excited when they erected this superb facility, only to find there was a minimum 300 UAED/£75 charge to use it! To get “value” at 60 UAED/£15 per pint you’d need to have 5 pints which I did not want to do just before dinner! To me this pricing policy was greed and extortion on the part of the hotel and spoiled an excellent facility they’d voluntarily provided. It was always largely empty and I never used it. Granted not an issue 95% of the time when there’s no Fanzone. But let’s not end on a small negative - It’s a great hotel and we absolutely loved it!More
First stay on the Palm and also a Fairmont hotel - both were excellent. The quality was fabulous on all fronts from the look of the hotel inside and out, the beautiful smell of the interior, the quality of the food, the rooms, the pools and the exceptional service we were given by ABSOLUTELY everyone we met - especially everybody in the Fairmont Gold Lounge, a big thank you to you all for looking after us, especially Allen, we would not hesitate to recommend this hotel, and will do, and look forward to our return in the future.More
My husband and I came here for afternoon tea. This was my first time in Dubai, and I here they are big on afternoon tea. I didn’t know what to expect, but we were blown away by the service we received from start to finish. I called to make sure that my appointment was set before heading there because I was not staying at this hotel. The gentleman on the line was so polite and professional. He pronounced my name perfectly, that I wanted to meet him when I got there. Thank you so much Seanberry. The two ladies that attended to us did not only service us, they educated us on everything we were eating and drinking. The food presentation was phenomenal, I didn’t want to eat because it looked like a display. Thank you so much Nikki, and Keit. We will definitely come back here, where everyone is treated like royalty.More
