This makes a good base for the dessert, two nights tops. the beds are comfortable, the food is very bad. the staff is brilliant, friendly, helpful its very good that you get few complimentary activities like camel ride if you stay here. They need to do some litter picking around the camp Buffet dinner is bad, a la carte menu better quality less dishes will be best Wifi was ExcellentMore
The camp is about 12 km from the main road, across along a sandy track , better known as a desert ! A 4x4 is definitely recommended top save getting stuck. The villas a individually spread out around the camp with a central restaurant. The signage from the main road & along the track could have been better. Included was a ride to the top of a nearby dune to watch the sunset. Also included was a camel ride. The dinner & breakfast were excellent, but beware of the extortionate cost of drinks, although there was some bottled water in the tented villa, for dinner I asked for 2 small sparkling waters and was charged £10 ! The villa was large & comfortable.More
I stayed for 2 nights, and had a wonderful time - met some lovely people, saw sunsets and sunrises I'll never forget, and experienced the desert dunes. Though not the cheapest, I thoroughly enjoyed myself - I found the service to be of a very high standard, and always friendly and attentive. The food at the restaurant was very good, and I can recommend a massage at the spa - especially if you've spent all day on a camel! On that note, I want to say a special thank you to Ahmed, who took me on a camel trek - a wonderful, kind and knowledgeable guide, he showed me wildlife tracks, and we had a great conversation as we rode. Great guy, and I hope you get to meet him.More
The actual experience is as you would expect, safe, comfortable, and you are taken care of. I’m giving this 4 stars because of value - for what you pay, it is very expensive! Sure, breakfast and dinner are very good. Rooms can be better though. The newer suites are very luxurious (the older rooms are a bit dated and feel less luxurious). Staff are good. Stay here if money is not an issue and you don’t mind paying a lot to ensure you are comfortable (perhaps at the expense of a more authentic desert experience somewhere else). Special mention to Shanawaz and Jilhaj who gave us spectacular service and made an average stay more special for us (thank you both!).More
We stayed here with our 3 young kids and had a great experience. We did not have four wheel drive, but they were able to meet us at a nearby gas station (for a small fee) to transport us to the camp. They had beautiful, well taken care of camels to ride and the staff were very friendly. Would highly recommend staying here for a beautiful desert experience!More
