Hatta fort hotel has been around for years and I've visited before with many friends and family. This is an old fashioned, quiet and really quite exceptional hotel. The staff are wonderful. Wonderful. All of them. They could not do enough to make us feel welcome and to make our stay enjoyable. The rooms are simple but well laid out and clean and well furnished. The hotel itself is lovely, nice pool areas, beautiful gardens and a few activities to do if you fancy. The restaurants are lovely and the food good, both in choice and quality. But it is the staff who make this place. They are amazing. And if you want a relaxing time away from the bustle of Dubai, this is the place to find it. More
We stayed at Hatta Fort for 4 night for the EID vacation. We arrived by car and are 2 adults and 2 children. Staff from check in to check out were the highlight of this trip - from the restaurant staff (another kudos to Amal) to Sheridan the Operations Manager, staff could not do enough for us or our children. Despite the hotel being full, the pool and eating areas never seemed crowded and our children got to use the petting areas, fly kites, use the pools and watch the children's movie showing almost exclusively. We also booked airgun shooting and archery twice thanks to Sheldon. We enjoyed excellent food and drink throughout the trip at the Jeema restaurant, the Gazebo and the pool bars. All staff were superbly attentive. The children's pool area has a recreation room adjacent, offering pool, table football, ping pong and a PS4. This is a welcome breakout room from the heat. We also kayaked at Hatta Dam, which is recommended. Rooms are spacious and had plenty of space for the 4 of us in one room. All kept very clean by housekeeping and we look forward to returning for family time soon.More

My first visit to Hatta and this hotel. Booked a 3 night stay over the long EID weekend and was very impressed. We were greeted warmly on arrival and even though very early for check in were invited to use the hotel facilities until our room was ready and told they would call me when the room was available (which they did well in advance of official check in time). We were checked in by the super helpful Muhran who told us about all the facilities, where everything was and made sure we were happy. We were in a deluxe mountain room and it was truly lovely. Very unique style with vaulted roof and fort themed headboard to the huge king sized bed (which was super comfy). The room had a seating area, plenty wardrobe storage, a vanity area with good lighting, in room safe and a large bathroom with separate walk in shower and bath. There was a good sized balcony overlooking the famous Hatta sign, with furniture, which we loved. The hotel has two pools, one a family pool and one adults only under Gazebo restaurant. We only visited the adult pool, which whilst not large, is lovely and very clean and peaceful. There is waiter service around the pool and very helpful lifeguards/pool attendants. In terms of food we only ate in Gazebo as we preferred the more relaxed atmosphere rather than the more formal restaurant. Both breakfast and evening meal are buffet style and whilst the selection is not huge, there is plenty choice and all food was fresh and tasty and we felt it was good value. They also offer lunch, either in the restaurant or by the pool with good choice of options. A slight constructive criticism - the hotel provides refillable bottles of still water in the room but you have to buy imported water in the restaurant. It would be a nice touch if the local water in refillable bottles was also offered in the restaurant. The hotel ground are very well maintained and there are activities in the grounds such as horse riding, animal visiting and children's activities. The hotel is ideally situated for all the activities available in Hatta, including Hatta Dam and the multitude of activities at Hatta Wadi Hub. All in all a lovely stay - in fact we were so happy we extended our stay for a further night and were very grateful to Muhran again who went out of his way to secure this despite the hotel showing as fully booked everywhere with it being the EID holiday. I would also like to comment about the staff who were all very polite, helpful and friendly. However a particular mention to Muhran (receptionist), Dilan and Amal who work in Gazebo and around the adult pool, Sameel the lovely lifeguard/pool attendant and Angel on reception in Gazebo. Each of them went over and above and are to be commended for their excellent service. As the title of the review outlines, this was our first visit to Hatta Fort Hotel (and Hatta) but we will definitely return. A lovely hotel that I highly recommend.More
We enjoyed the hotel and facilities. I have been visiting the property since the early 1980's as a child and now revisited the site with my children. It's got the right facilities, activities and the rooms are just right for 4 people (2 adults and 2 children). The rolling hills and grass are a trademark and all of us did the customary "hill roll" time after time. The reason we went was due to the pet friendly policy and were pleased we could take our new dog along as well - though the extra AED 50 per room night was strange, especially when there was an additional AED 150 charged for cleaning and sanitation. Staff are extremely polite and willing to help. Our restaurant aid Amal was amazing throughout the trip and our house keeping staff Naser was also very good. They made us feel at home and were great throughout our 3 nights. My only negative point here (Though one I will not include it to dilute in my 5* rating) is that the hotel is keen on sustainability and hence served refilled bottled water in the rooms. We loved that idea. However in the restaurants, if you wanted the same, it was not available. You only got high end, high priced imported water (Sustainability?) - not even the local water as an option, and Hatta is known to be water city - due to its high numbers of water producers. Please do include the free refilled options in the restaurants as well, and include local options if possible. Other than that we have nothing but praise for the property and do hope to visit again quite soon with the family. Thank you and see you soon!More
