We, a party of 13, were celebrating my mom's 82nd birthday as well as the internment of my dad's ashes on the day. So we were looking for a special venue. Some of us had been to BK before and agreed the venue would be appropriate and up to the occasion. We were expecting the same this time.
Cody, our waiter, was a brilliant 'host' and server and he was open to conversation and good humoured banter. We thoroughly enjoyed his demeanor.
The food, however, across our various meals, was average, at best. It was a real disappointment. The lamb shank was tiny and not well seasoned. The pasta, my son challenged, was less tasty and flavoursome than his homemade, amateur version. We all agreed that our respective meals were not up to scratch. And it's not that we factored in cost to = 'better'. The ice-cream sandwich dessert offered some redemption, though.
All in all, I don't think we will be back for a family lunch date. My wife and I had previously enjoyed the breakfasts and may come back for that, on our own.
