Val du Charron Wine and Leisure Estate

The food, the wine, the place and the people working there were amazing. When you are an overnight guest you have certain priviledges like you can stay a bit longer at the reataurant or you can come a bit late for the wine tasting. As a vegan they had very tasty options for me. In top of that, the prizes were also good. We stayed for two nights and were really happy with everything. Thank you Val Du Charron and Mercy!

Our room was pretty dark and cold. Cute balcony but unfortunately not one with a view. The bedding and towels had stains on them. The place in general wasn't particularly clean. There was no remote to change channels on the TV and struggled with mosquitos all night. The staff was nice and rather kind but no one really seemed to fully know how to do things or what was going on. Breakfast was also average. Coffee order was wrong, had to remind the waitress to bring the toast (which was really just warmed bread). The location is lovely because it's up on a little hill so it's got beautiful views. Lots of potential but unfortunately we were ultimately very underwhelmed.

Disaster from start to finish. Five simple salads at lunch time, and each one was a mess: missing ingredients, plumped up with a surplus of green beans, and rotten salad leaves. For which we waited over an hour, and the restaurant wasn't nearly full. Good service by the waitron, and the manager was very apologetic, but there is a serious issue in the kitchen clearly, and a lack of control by management. Giving away free wine and comping meals isn't a long term solution!!

Hugely disappointing pizza lunch today - burnt, tasteless, expensive. Sorry about that - we drove from Cape Town hoping for a pleasant outing. Beautiful surroundings but restaurant pizza chef clearly cannot be recommended

Wow! Amazing evening with friends at the two restaurants food was really amazing,service from Tammy and kayleigh was outstanding.its my new spot, wil be back next week,and then the week after that too.well done to the whole team.
