Recently visited for brunch, lovely place, friendly staff, and good food. Their chocolate croissant from their bakery is a must! Although Would be nice for their practiced more hygiene, the table we were sat on wasn’t wiped or cleaned (dusty) and the cup that I ordered the latte wasn’t very clean either.More
They had made a table for 6 and put umbrellas around us to hide from the sun which was lovely, great start. the waiter took all our orders without writing anything down, his name was Sam and he was the manager. We ordered 3 eggs benedicts with crispy bacon, one with croissant and the other two with english muffin. all came with croissant. we ordered soft eggs all the eggs were hard. we had minimal hollandaise sauce and had to request more by the time we received our food was cold. When it came to bill time we have used 3 meal entertainer vouchers. He had told us we could only use 2 for food and 1 for a drink. I didnt understand as we were never told this. My understanding is that you allowed to use 3 vouchers for 6 people. Ultimately the experience was horrible.More
I have never been so disappointed by a second visit to a cafe. Having come once a couple of months ago and had the most delicious croissants, I came here again today with my daughter from Germany, raving about the croissants. We ordered 2, the chocolate one was delicious, the Almond stale and chewy, which we complained about, but nothing happened and we were still charged for it. We decided to take two more chocolate croissants as takeaway, which later also turned out to be stale and such a disappointment. With the reputation of the best croissants in Gauteng, then to serve stale ones from the day before and do it twice to the same customer in the same day means this reputation is not deserved. Poor service and a waiter that does not care about an honest complaint, one great croissant and three terrible ones.More
Fantastic food and great value! If you enjoy freshly baked goods this place will not disappoint unless they sold out 😝More
What I like about this place is that it isn't pretentious and just does the basics well. The food is really good (especially their omelettes), the bakery section produces delicious treats and you can watch the world go by whilst sipping a double espresso. What's not to like?More
