I wish we had spent more than 4 nights at the Anantara. The cliff top location is so picturesque with beautiful views of the surf at Impossible beach and stunning sunsets. Our spacious Oceanview suite was huge and very comfortable. Breakfast was a buffet with a great variety to suit all tastes, and also a menu to order healthy options such as pumpkin bread with smashed avocado and rocket, or an egg white omelette . I loved the deep purple-pink dragon fruit smoothie and strong Bali coffee to wake me. I soon took to relaxing by the peaceful pools, where attentive staff would unfurl umbrellas , bring over towels and iced cucumber water, followed later by fresh fruit sticks. Happy hour was from 1-4 and Aperol spritz was the perfect way to go with a pizza or salad for lunch. There are many steps to take getting back from the pool, so you need to be fit. It is also a 10-15 minute walk up to the main road and this is where I feel the hotel could offer a shuttle. We took the shuttle which departs daily at 4.30, to Uluwatu Temple, and watched the sunset Ketchak dance. I loved staying at the Anantara. Also a big thank you to Mr Fiktri and all the lovely staff members for looking after us so well.More
Upon entering this resort all previous feelings of excellence are thrown out the window. The check in staff always smiling and any task asked of them is attended to within minutes, elsewhere in Bali it can take days to have these tasks attended to.The dining and pool areas take your breath away but to get to them there are lots of stairs. The cocktails are great the views and sunsets are awesome.Staff in all areas very helpful nothing seemed to faze them. We had a room with pool with access to lift for bar 360 and dining area so stairs did not concern us.Hotel remained open during Covid so all maintenance was maintained a credit to ManagementMore
An attractive resort but it lacks grandeur. Although located on a beach but there is no beach to walk about, good for surfers. The beach and the pool are difficult to access and requires stamina to climb lot of steps to return to the rooms. Rooms and villas are spacious but need renovation.More
View was absolutely amazing. Room was facing the ocean. Some monkeys might come and play around on the rooftop of the villa (in the morning and afternoon) searching for food or stuffs. Cleanliness should be improved as there’s dust at some very visible spots. The lift was not so covid-friendly as we have to touch it directly with our hand. Maybe use some automatic sensor? Breakfast was ok. We got a complimentary dinner for 2 as we stayed for 2 nights and free 30 mins photoshoot around the hotel area. Our photographer Brian was friendly and took great photos of us.More
