The food , ambience of the resort is still good after so many years but the service is wanting. Leftover plates left on the cochin swimming pool area, swimming pool underwater lamp fallen off the wall with its wires dangling out. Room electrical plugs not working. Clog basin. Avillon needs to address these problems, esp the indifferent attitude by its staff even after we complain on the above. Safety of its guest should be a priority especially when electrical wires are exposed underwater.Read more
it was peak season, full of crowd everywhere. everyday towels came late evening, 7-8pm. it was hot when arrived, reason given due to overwhelm customer. get the problem solved but not let the customer wait till late evening, can't even shower before dinner. what's that!? full of flies in the restaurant. disgusting. can't stand with it. 1st day lunch had in the restaurant, nobody else in the restaurant, but our food served slow, and is not tasty. avilounge is only open in the evening, within the few hours only. beyond that hours, no entry allowed. types of tits bits served very limited. basically this lounge is a sunset lounge, allowing you to enjoy the sunset only. not available for full day relaxation in it. poor flexibility.Read more
we booked the suite with beach view. The room is big and spacious and comfortable beds. There is no direct access to beach, but has an entry to the beach outside the resort. almost like a private beach, but even public can access. the swimming pool is small, and most crowded throughout the day, may be it was during weekends. Not sure during weekdays. the breakfast spread had separate stall for Roti canai on Saturday morning during our stay, which was good. live egg station. but otherwise there is not much options for vegetarians. We had asked for extra towel for kid, they said all towels were used and no spare towels to provide. they have to be prepared for the almost full booking.Read more
We stayed here for 4 nights and although it is quirky with a Colonial style, we enjoyed it immensely. There is an ongoing maintenance burden with the hotel design and I guess if you want a Holiday Inn, this is not the place for you, but we found the cleanliness good. The food is very good and the Staff very friendly and helpful. Special mention to Chandran the bar and restaurant manager for his good humour and the professional way he manages the Staff. The pools and gardens are good and the birds roaming around add to the quirkiness. Read more
We love the room. Very nice. The breakfast was great. Kids love the pool and the petting zoo. We try the atv ride. For me it was very short but expensive. Not really worth money. But the overall things offered was pleasent. Read more
