Such a lovely place to stay; surrounded by beautiful landscapes and the beach had no one on it at all so felt like it had your own private stretch of beach! We came for a friends wedding and it was the most incredible time and the wedding was so beautiful, entire time was perfect! Staff could not do enough and were so lovely, the restraint was amazing and the cocktails are great. We look forward to coming back. Read more
The room was lovely and spacious for my friend and I. We did however find the service rather appalling. We came there for a friends' wedding and on the evening before the wedding, a group of us ordered some dinner in the restaurant. The restaurant was merely half full and most of the other guests were relatives from the wedding we were attending. Our table of 5 had to wait 2 hours to get our dinner! We never heard an apology from the staff. The manageress was nowhere to be seen until we asked for her. She did apologize and offered us bread after 1.5 hours. During the drinks' reception after dinner, they also seemed to have been short-staffed and this trend seemed to have continued until the next day's wedding lunch service. One would've thought that the Lodge would organize enough staff to work knowing it had a wedding booked but that was not the case!Read more
Hot water in our room was not working for over a day and staff were less than understanding about it never apologising for any inconvenience. We were told the dinner would be served within 20 minutes of ordering and took almost 2 hours. Will not consider staying here again. Read more
What an amazing experience we had at the Blue Bay Lodge. The view of the ocean from our chalet was absolutely stunning and this is the best pet friendly place I've ever seen. The chalet is very well equipped and comfortable. We will most definitely visit again soon. Read more
We needed to have lunch while our daughter enjoyed a much needed massage treatment with Pearl, the resident resort beauty salon. Its over a year since we were last here and we were delighted with the structural changes that have been done. Sat in comfort looking over the wonderful lagoon. We ordered simple battered hake and chips with vegetables. Beautifully cooked with a light batter. Their choice of music was not to my taste and too loud, but this was quickly rectified and the volume reduced so we could relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Decided to have coffee in the lounger seating, but it was so long coming that we cancelled and went to see our daughter at Pearl's. She was not quite finished, so Pearl ordered our coffee to be brought out to the salon - this was done very quickly. Very pleasant lunch time stay.Read more
