Nestled in a small, secretive courtyard in the historical area of Glasgow’s Merchant City, Brutti Compadres is built on the site of the original tobacco exchange. It serves all-day food, continental draught lagers, decent wines and fine Italian coffee. It provides customers with tasty, small plates of Mediterranean-style flavours. The menu changes seasonally, offering daily specials from an open-plan kitchen. All this and more is offered by friendly and helpful staff here. Less
Best described as a bar with food rather than a restaurant, it's a fun looking place, good location and great staff. The tapas food didn't quite hit the mark for me though, same with my partner. An overall feeling that something was missing with each of the dishes as they leaned toward being very dry. certainly worth a look as a bar venueMore
What a lovely restaurant which was recommend by some friends. Food is very good and Staff really made the evening. Jim and Johnny were very welcoming and great fun and made our night very enjoyable. Will definitely be returning and would recommend this restaurant.More
First visit and recommended to us. Confusion over the booking but the Manager accommodated us even though it was the Friday night before Christmas !! Real buzz about the place and the food was so good. Would definitely go back.More
We visited here on a miserable night and clearly the mood of the weather had seeped inside. The staff seemed to be of the opinion that as soon as we had given our food order their job was done. The service was very slow, no one asked us if we wanted further drinks or how the food was. The food was microwaved and bland. I think that if you are a tapas restaurant then you probably should specialise in tapas and not also serve burgers, pizza and pasta as if you don't do one thing good you end up doing lots of things badly, or at best to a very average standard. We were still hungry after so wanted dessert but we had to go and find dessert menus ourselves. Some of the members of our party ordered tea and asked for milk. I personally don't think you should need to ask for milk with tea as it should be a given. Guess what? It came without milk. We had to ask someone in the kitchen for milk because we couldn't find a waiter! Definitely won't be back.More
My husband and I visited here for the first time on Friday afternoon. We don’t know how we’ve missed this lovely bar/restaurant. All of the staff were fabulous and so welcoming, the Sangiovese was delicious and the chicken and chorizo paella was the best we’ve had, and we’ve had a lot! The bar is so nice inside and in a lovely courtyard. We will absolutely be back, as the title says, we loved it! More
