Very friendly staff, good coffee and decent food. Nice place to have coffee and chat. This is hidden at one of the side street from main Jonkers Walk. Nice old colonial era house that is converted to a cafe but still maintain its original old house charmRead more
Good food, good laksa, good service. The flavors were good, they made a good twist to it. Restaurant very small.Read more
The food here is delicious with a few selections of Western and Asian breakfast dishes. Can personally recommend the banana walnut toast and nasi lemak as well as the banana cap freeze.Read more
Looking for halal food and delicious food. Let's come here and food haunting here. This place at Jonker Walk area. You'll better parking your car other side because very hard to find parking this area but just walk in here. I try Creamy Butter Chicken and Assam Pedas Fish. Also with pineapple juice and KELANTAN coffee ice. Very recommended here. Read more
The best discoveries are sometimes made when you're not looking for them. Calanthe art cafe was one such discovery for us as we were wandering around the Jonker street in Melaka. Tucked away in a quiet by lane near Jonker street, Calanthe is an oasis in an otherwise busy and crowded area. Having stumbled upon it, we walked in and the vibe was pretty quirky and we noticed some generous portions of good looking food across different tables. We later learnt that they serve coffee from across all states in Malaysia, each with their own unique character and taste. The place is quirky, the service, efficient and the food, some of the best we've had in Melaka. In the land of Nyonya and laksas, their coffee butter chicken is a particularly unique and memorable indulgence. On our second trip to Melaka we headed straight to Calanthe and even ended up meeting chef James Kim after we were done eating. A lovely chap, he spent some time with us discussing the local food, where and what to eat and how he's seen the landscape of the place changing over the years growing up in Melaka. They were even kind enough to take pictures with us and host it on their Instagram page. All in all, a lovely cafe with some great food and an extensive collection of coffee - would strongly recommend this place.Read more
