We walked in on the off chance they could squeeze us in as bookings were full online. Never felt rushed even though we were told we only had a hr, which we knew we could get our bellies full in. Staff were polite, friendly & very attentive. We had the mix of starters to share - wow!!!!! The Saltish, prawns & chicken wings danced across our taste buds. Main courses didn’t disappoint either. We had curried goat & belly pork with rice n peas, sides of plantain & sweet potato fries. True authentic flavours. (Tastes just likes mums) Drink menu was extensive & so many rums on offer. The atmosphere in this place was just as chilled, reggae tickled your ears while still able to chat. Open kitchen which was clean & all staff adhered to Covid-19 rules. All in all this place was a amazing find on our first trip to Bristol. We would definitely return. Also staff took the time to recommend places to good to go in city. Thank you Caribbean CroftMore
I chose the fried red fish and swapped out the festivals for plantain😍😍 Honestly one of the best dining experiences in terms of food!! Rice and peas was amazing, fish flavourful and crispy!!! Would definitely recommend!😁 As someone of Caribbean heritage I must say the restaurant is doing absolutely amazing, keep up the good work!!!!! Ohhhhh and the Guineas punch - incredible! Great time out.More
Booked for Sunday lunch when visiting student offspring and could not have been more delighted. The food was fantastic and the portions generous, authentically Caribbean flavours with plenty of heat. The staff were friendly and attentive and service was prompt without being rushed. We were especially impressed by the Covid adaptations here - all staff were masked, seating was well spaced and hygiene was clearly a priority. It really felt like great pains were taken to keep customers and staff safe, even down to having foot plates to allow pull doors in the toilets to be opened without having to touch the handle. If I could give it 6 out of 5 I would!More
Took the opportunity to visit this place whilst on a very brief visit to Bristol. All eh covid precautions were in place as you'd expect, hand sanitiser on entry, the tables were socially distanced but it was really noticeable that the staff took it really seriously, all wearing PPE and doing a really good job cleaning the tables in between use. We had the sharing platter to start where you can choose 3 of the starters. The saltfish fritters and red mullet were fantastic. The prawns were tasty although really messy. For main I had the combo which was a selection of their mains. The goat curry just about pipped the belly of pork as my favourite. By this point I was proper stuffed. I was never offered a dessert menu and had to ask for the bill myself. To be honest it's not really an issue but there was a bit of sitting around at the end. The drinks menu was extensive but I didn't get the opportunity to try the cocktails but the Guinness punch looked amazing.More
Fantastic find. Highly recommended. Food was excellent and very generous. Stamp & go starters x 2 then hubby had curry goat and I had the coconut steak. Both delicious and very tender. Also their cocktails are epic 2 for 1 on a mai tai in happy hour 😊The tables are well spaced for covid compliance, zap a qr code or login to website to register details. If you book (like we did) they take card details but no cash unless you don't turn up. You get a reminder text 24hrs before of your booking. Staff were helpful and very friendly. Honestly a pleasure to visit, I know we will return if we go to Bristol again. More
