Tables felt a little close together for social distancing purposes had they been full, but because the tables next to us only had one or two people on them we felt okay. The menu advertises to ask about the different flavours of espresso martini, but when I did the server didn't know about this and when I saw her ask the bartender he looked like I'd asked something really obscure as well, so a plain one was the only option. I actually ordered a different drink, and when I saw it being made I didn't think it could be mine, as I saw a different liqueur get used to what was advertised... I tried it anyway and it was nice enough, but not what I thought I'd ordered!More
My partner and I usually come here for drinks, which has always been a nice experience, but this one occasion we decided to get food and with it being a Sunday, we got a roast. It was nice, however the roast was tiny and not worth the money! I got 3 little roast potatoes and the food was quite warm, it could have done with being hotter! We were extremely disappointed, as we like coming here! So sadly it will just be for the drinks next time.More
With the recent pedestrianised changes to Castle Street my twin brother Stephen and I visited a few bars and restaurants down this historic street and dropped into Castle Street Townhouse and what a very pleasant time we had. An opulent interior, beautifully furnished and decorated tastefully throughout, lots of seating arrangements both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling Castle Street. We were here on a Thursday early evening, we gave our details of name, phone number or email address to assist with the governments track and trace system, we chose to sit outside were we ordered a G & T each , beautifully presented, we just kicked back, chilled out and planned out the day ahead while sipping our G & T's . I am not such a big fan of Castle Street, I personally find it a bit sterile but I must admit with the pedestrianisation of the street it seems to have injected some vibrancy into this area of Liverpool. We really enjoyed our drinks in here before we moved on and for a first time visit we had a great time. Castle Street Townhouse is easy to locate along Castle Street. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday, 9am till 11pm. Friday & Saturday, 9am till 1am. Sunday, 9am till 10pm. Well worth a visit if you're in the area. More
This place has a great location and friendly staff. Expresso martini tasted very odd but irish coffee hit the spot!More
Very upset about how me and my friends got treated when visiting townhouse, I’d been there many times before dressed up but went for a casual day out and though whisky the sun is out we will go and meet another group of friends already at townhouse, we found a table and sat down as we where told we needed a table to stay. We sat down and ordered drinks and a member of staff took a dis liking to us and said we needed to leave in a rude and abrupt tone and no valid reason why. I personally believe it was because we weren’t dressed up enough And he didn’t think we would fit in with the crowd already there. As I was drinking my drink the same member of staff snatched my drink out of my hand and told us to get out!!!!! I just walked away as didn’t want to cause a scene but was very upset by the way we got treated and won’t ever go here again. The member of staff wouldn’t give me his name but treated us like scum. I’m extremely upset by this and the terrible service I’ve received, my advice is don’t go to townhouse castle street as they only want to serve people who seem to look like they have money. We where treated with such little respect I would never step foot on their premises again. Disgusting behaviour.More
