I booked a week using my HH points. I didn’t like I initial room so the hotel quickly accommodated my change request. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Hotel is an ideal location close to Hyde Park and designer shopping. I visited the Hilton Kensington and was glad we were at Park Lane just for the decor and atmosphere. The restaurant food was very average. Read more
If you are looking for a place to sleep in London don’t pick this hotel. It’s absolutely garbage and way overrated. The windows are old and single glazing and you basically hear all noise from the city. Which hotel doesn’t have double glazing windows these days? The window frames are probably early sixties or older so every noise passes through. The hotel needs major renovation. The leaky windows are just the tip of the iceberg. Please look at the latest digital temperature control in the room (in the picture), no kidding! Ridiculous. I guess they get replacement parts from the British Museum. No closed loop control. So you either suffocate or freeze. The sink (in the picture) is as small as that of the airplane you took to come to London. Please take a look: it’s so small that they had to add a shelf on top of it so you can put your toiletry there! I am a Hilton Diamond member and that doesn’t help at all. I was told I was upgraded! Imagine the sink in the normal rooms! Do they actually have a sink and a temperature control at all? I asked the reception desk to move me to a different room so I could sleep at night and nobody had a solution. A high pitch whistle, probably coming from a fan on top of the nearby building, was bothering me all night, and I asked to be moved. The staff was super nice but hopeless. Not their fault, but for 636 GBP per night you would think they would find a solution. Whoever manages the property has all of the responsibility for the decadent status of the hotel. The hotel was fully booked, of course, and couldn’t change the windows overnight I guess. So I was stuck. This is the typical hotel that gets full no matter how bad it is because of the location and plenty of one time visitors forced to the hotel by their travel agency or the conference organizers. Being a Hilton Diamond member means nothing here other than for getting the absolutely useless welcome card signed by the manager in a rush and a plate of semi-fresh fruit. Definitely not a hotel to come back to.Read more
Great location close to all amenities for shopping and dining. Really enjoyed the pillows here you're guaranteed a good nights sleep thats for sure. I would recommend this for anyone looking to visit london Read more
The staff is very attentive, but the hotel is outdated and the rooms have the standard of a 90s hotel. It needs a proper make over. The TV in the room is old and locked, so no laptop/chromecast connection possible. WiFi is only free for Hilton Honors. The windows for the rooms in the back of the building are single pane, so a lot of noise and cold coming into the room. It's not worth the €500+ per night in my humble opinion, not even in London city. Location is great.Read more
Absolutely slowest and inattentive staff. Honestly the view is wonderful but the staff took the whole experience down. When you come to Hilton you expect a relatively high service and that the staff is attentive. First it took 20 min to order. Then it took another 15 to get the drinks which is actually ok. Second we wanted to order nibbles with our drinks so it took another 15 min to get the menus. .... it continues and for one drink it took 1,5 hours. This is ridiculous because if I had got my service quickier I would have experienced the bar with good feeling and I would have spent more in the bar. The service and the staff, took it down. Nothing else. Unfortunately.Read more
