Friendly service, nothing too much trouble! Me and my daughter both had Jerk chicken with rice and peas. I’m afraid to say that the chicken was a bit dry, luckily the jerk sauce that accompanied the chicken was lovely with just the right amount of background heat.More
I met some close friends at Devon House all our first time there The menu has good choices for those who love fish, meat or vegetarian and the food delicious I recommend Chicken Wing starters, Mutton Curry, just the right spice and Rice n Peas Recommend this lovely Caribbean restaurant in the Jewellery Quarter either nothing was too much trouble More
A friend and I visited for lunch 17/07/20 and we cannot wait to return already. This restaurant deserves 5 stars because it truly is 5 stars, from service from our lovely waiter (we didn’t get his name but he was so friendly and attentive) to the presentation of the beautiful, piping hot, full of flavours food! Thank you for making our afternoon amazing.More
Had a wonderful meal here today. Fresh, good quality ingredients cooked with skill and care. It was like the best home-cooked food elevated to great restaurant standard. The jerk chicken wings were so tasty - juicy and well-spiced. The ackee and saltfish was full of flavour and not at all oily, as some can be. The curried mutton was tender and the curry was rich and flavoursome. All the side accompaniments were also delicious, especially the plantain and dried dumplings. The restaurant was also spotlessly clean and the wait staff attentive (and wearing a mask). It was great value for money - I only wish I lived nearer so I could visit more often. Birmingham - you are spoiled with such good food, I was surprised it wasn’t much busier.More
Myself and 3 friends had a lovely lunch to celebrate my 66th birthday. We had a great time. I had Akee and Saltfish for the first time and I loved it. The sea bass looked great and the brown stew tasted great. The cocktails were a bit of fun be we all loved ths guiness ice cream. I'll be back with my wife for her to experience some lovely Caribbean food.More
