I loved the food they served - we are provided a tab to look at the menu and a great amount of cuisines were on offer. Every dish we ordered was amazing - we infact had ordered too much. Specially the mixed platter was huge. I recommend the chicken dishes they have. Chicken tikka masala and bread is a must have. The staff is polite and courteous. I just wish they served some alcohol as well to enjoy along with the food but no complaints. Located in Souq Waqif - this place is a treat in the evening.More
I discovered this restaurant by chance and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the beautiful atmosphere. It’s very neat and fancy and the food is nicely placed and presented. It’s a bit pricy and not really a local experience but definitely recommended! More
The restaurant serves a wide variety of food with Persian, Indian, Turkish and Iranian influences and several vegetarian options. We opted for a selection of dishes to share including Hummus, Tabbouleh, grilled Halloumi and a Mughlai Malai boneless chicken dish cooked in with garam masala, cream, chilli and topped with fresh coriander. All the food was delicious and well presented. Service friendly and efficient. The main restaurant is quite large and brightly lit but there are more intimate corners and overall we were very impressed with the general ambiance of the restaurant. Food selection is made easier as the menu is selected on a tablet with pictures, very helpful for anyone not familiar with these regional dishes. The meal at 132 QAR with a large bottle of water was reasonably priced. Overall this was a very good experience. More
Large, impressive building in the newer part of the Souq. I assume that there is more than one dining area due to the overall size and layout of the place. We found ourselves in a not very busy ground floor dining room which had restrained traditional-style decor and extremely effective air conditioning. The menu is selected from a baffling series of choices on an i-pad. Fortunately, our dignified waitress was very patient and helped us navigate through the various range and styles of cuisines to select our preferred choices. Mrs EPR and I both went for, essentially, posh kebabs. I tried the turkish beyti, a chopped lamb dish rolled in flatbread and sliced then covered in tomato sauce whilst Mrs EPR had the Chelo bakhtiari, a sort of iranian kebab with a selection of rice. These generous meals were beautifully cooked and perfectly presented. Could just about squeeze in a dessert afterwards and my anglo saxon palate couldn't resist an oozy chocolate fondant. However, I would have been just as happy with Mrs EPR's Umm Ali - basically an egyptian bread pudding (as recommended by our waitress) with an overarching pistachio flavour. Again, great value; both portions were more than robust. Certainly felt well fed afterwards and had to engage in a post-prandial wander around the Souq to slightly walk it off. So, well recommended; but note that our bill was far higher than any other restaurants we visited in the same area although the quality margin reflected this.More
