After all the hype on the melted swiss raclette cheese, decided to dine here with a couple of my colleagues. Order the beef tenderloin and asked the roasted potato to to swap with a protein and they gladly swap with omelette. I also add on smoked salmon for extra protein. I was delighted surprise as they were very accommodating to my special request as I am on keto carnivore diet. My colleagues ordered burgers, creme brulee and tea. They looked delicious but the price are on the steeper end. The eatigo promotion do not apply to signature main like the one I had, drinks and seasonal specials.Read more
flavour flings is one of my favourite places to meet friends, indulge in good food or simply, to savour a quiet afternoon with a good book. the café is clean, cosy and conducive for conversations. I’ve been here multiple times over the years for different occasions: family, friends, meetings. the menu has expanded since its early days. the food options at flavour flings cover a wide range from breakfast food to main courses and savoury side dishes. there is a wide range of drinks and also, free-flow self-service drinking water :) flavour flings is famous for their salted egg croissants and creative creations. however, it is the breakfast food and fries that won me over from day 1. they have done a wonderful job with these classic dishes that leave you dreaming for a return visit! for my most recent visit, it was a big group. booking a table online via google reservations was a breeze. when I called in for enquiries, the phone was answered immediately and I was attended to politely. the service here is impeccable. staff are friendly and attentive. flavour flings is accessible via buses 53/53M from serangoon mrt. if you don’t mind a longer walk, it is easy to navigate from kovan mrt.Read more
I booked a place for 3 pax from Eatigo with 30% discount to be told that the discount doesn't include the mains! Decided to start off with the salted egg croissant with raclette cheese (additional $5). Can't taste the flavour of the cheese! I ordered the steak and got a shock when it came. $23.90 for a super small portion. Again, have to pay additional to add the cheese. Chicken cutlet tasted like instant katsu from the supermarket. Desserts of creme brulee and brownies okay. For a shop that's located under the void deck to charge the way they do, not coming back! Not recommending to anyone either.Read more
Heard about this place since 2016, but I've never made my way down because the indian shop next to it serves awesome crispy prata 😂 Finally bit the bullet and headed for this instead. Ordered the Salted Egg Yolk Dirty Benny and Milo Coated Chicken Pops. Despite the great fanfare, I personally felt the milo chicken were overrated. It was fried to perfection, but the milo powder didn't add much complimentary flavour to the whole dish. The Salted Egg Yolk Dirty Benny was alright. The eggs were very well cooked, oozing out when I slid the yolk in halves. I felt the chicken ham didn't go well with the Salted Egg Yolk sauce. However, the sauce was very well prepared, mildly sweet drizzled with heaps of ceral. Read more
This place is near my house. Tried their salted egg crossant. It is served warm and crispy. Will be coming back to try their salmon and steak. It is quite crided during lunch time and not many tables. To avoid the crowd, it is better to come around 11amRead more
