My family of 9 stayed at the Golden Temple Residence for 3 days before heading on a cruise from Cambodia to Vietnam. The Golden Temple Residence was a perfect first stop on our trip. The hotel is very lovely with extremely comfortable rooms and bathrooms. The amenities are top notch, great pool, spa and restaurant. But the staff are what make the difference. They are so warm and friendly and the service is excellent. From the pick up at the airport to the drop off at the cruise, the Golden Temple Residence Staff delivered personal and exceptional service the whole time. The hotel is also centrally located so you can walk through lovely Siem Reap right from the hotel.Read more
The room was beautiful and really clean and welcoming. The amenities were great and the staff were all welcoming and always helpful. It is a small hotel but we were made to feel like we were the only ones there. Really would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Siem Reap.Read more
We stayed 5 nights as a couple (45 & 55 yo) and we chose this hotel based on the fact that they hire students and underprivileged locals, and because it is right downtown. I gave 5 stars based on the friendliness and efforts of the staff in making sure everything is ok. They want to get work experience and learn English. You'll also have the pool pretty much to yourselves because of the limited number of rooms. The hotel offers a good value for the money by giving you coupons for some free meals, roundtrip to and from the airport at no charge, free WiFi, free breakfast (also to go for sunrise at Angkor Wat at 5am), etc... The decor of the rooms is unconventional and attention to design is everywhere, although flower petals in the sink and on the bed is a bit kitch. The restaurant is pricey for the area however, and the sale pitch in every email correspondance for their tours at $500+ is annoying (our private small circle tour was $16 by tuk-tuk in comparison). On a very positive note, the hotel uses stainless steel straws in drinks not plastic, and reusable glass bottles for water in rooms! That's awesome! Read more
Tucked away on a busy back street, this hotel is a gem. Super friendly staff, make this a special place. Less than 5 minutes walk from Pub Street is another plus if you want to venture out. Good facilities, we had one of the best massages ever at the spa, the only slight criticism would be that we felt overfed! We booked 3 days of trips and excursions with the hotel covering the temples, a sunset boat trip, a picnic, a cycle tour and cookery class. A busy but a great experience. Read more
I have just spent seven nights in Siem reap in the golden temple residence. After staying in the golden temple hotel seven years ago I didn’t think it would measure up to my expectations of excellent , friendly service, but I was wrong, it exceeded them. The staff all made you feel like you were their only guest and were always able to deliver great experiences. From service in the bar / restaurant. To lunch by the lake. Organising tours. Or after a mishap in town sorting everything to ensure we still enjoyed a fantastic trip.i highly recommend this hotel group.Read more
