The KL Hop-on Hop-Off is great. The are reliable and operate rain or shine. I was on the tour near the end of the day and there was a monsoonal downpour when I was at the KL Tower. I appreciated the fact that they were running and almost on schedule. I always buy 2 day passes and use the first day to see the overall route and then decide which places I want to spend more time at later on the first day and the second day. The same people also have a number of tours including to Batu CaveMore
Great value for money and highly recommended if you only have a short time in KL. The only downside is that these buses run every 30 minutes but there aren't any approximate times at the bus stops. It does mean that you can end up waiting at a hot bus stop for a while without any idea when the next bus is going to turn up. More
We jumped on the Garden Route bus at stop 15 (Little India) it cost about $20 (55ringgit) takes a bit of time to get through the city, the traffic is chaos. We thought we would see more "gardens" but you spent a bit of time driving through the city (which we weren't keen on) getting stuck in traffic. If you have a couple of hours to spare it is worth it.More
Kuala Lumpur is quite a big place and navigating it isn't easy as very busy with lots of traffic so if you have time take the bus (buses) and do the loops around. Day pass is about £11 pp and there are 2 loops which both take about 2 hours each. One bus is city based and takes in the Towers amongst other things, the other bus is more park and museum based so probably most useful to get you about. More
The red route is around the city streets and can get caught up in the traffic. Not a lot of history or culture to see. The green line has more of the history and culture and takes you a little further out from the main city The traffc can be manic in the city so you can spend quite a bit of time waiting for the bus to arriveMore
