The world’s greatest treasures are usually found below the surface, in places unexpected. The most appetising dishes are not always found in the world’s best restaurant but on their city’s streets. The finest beers are no longer from the big breweries but from back yards and micros. Twenty- ... More

We visited tonight for my daughters birthday. We had booked a table so were seated immediately. We ordered some cocktails, banana mama and daiquiri which were brought whilst we browsed the menu. We had onion Bhajis and garlic bread to start both delicious. For mains we had a halloumi and pepper burger, macaroni cheese burger and 3 sliders. All were served with salad and chips. The food was delivered shortly after we finished our starters all were warm, fresh and really tasty. Loved the 80s music being played in the restaurant, will be back and would definitely recommend.More
What can I say other than fab food (defo try their chicken special) great service and good fun! We went on the comedy night on a Tuesday which was thoroughly entertaining. Would recommend and will be back. More
I arrived at Junkyard a little before they opened in the pouring rain after a recommendation from a local, after finding the door locked I was about to leave in search of food when the door was opened for me and I was welcomed in. After immediately being offered a drink and a menu I asked for recommendations for food, I ordered the nachos for a starter and the Korean style poppy seed chicken (I forget it’s actual name), my drink was brought to my table immediately and my starter took no more than 5-10 minutes to arrive I can hands down say they were the best nachos I have ever tasted!! My main was ready no more than 10 minutes after I had finished my starter and it was the most delicious meal I have ever ordered! portion size was spot on! Owner, Waitress and Chef were all extremely attentive and friendly, I just wish I lived closer so I could eat here everyday 😂More
We decided to eat here over the other large chain restaurants as we usually find that the food offered is much better and prefer to support local. We were on a long journey back home and needed something quick and substantial. My other half had a burger with a few extras, which he enjoyed. I didn't really fancy a burger so I ordered a curry which was advertised as being a chicken tikka. I wasn't expecting it to be the best curry (this is a burger restaurant afterall) but I really didn't enjoy what was offered. The portion was generous but that is probably the only positive thing I could say. We had parked around the corner which only allowed 60min max but our food hadn't even arrived by the time our parking expired. The staff were friendly enough but I did think the atmosphere felt a little awkward. Almost like it was a very 'local' restaurant. The music was too loud and very radio1 (not my taste). Lastly, the table we were sat on was very sticky. Overall there was nothing wrong, it just wasn't for me. More
Had a spare afternoon just after Christmas and went to the Junkyard with 2 friends and our kids! Great tasty simply menu and freshly cooked food! The service was excellent with friendly knowledgeable staff! Great to have somewhere you can go with kids that’s got a grown up atmosphere! Not enough places like this in Hamilton. More
