Near La Mer, a wonderful beach side, with multi-culcutural restaurants, shops and booths there. Mealtop provided coffee, milk shake, and delicious ice-cream. Their ice-cream combined with Mocha and Milk and loaded in special corn. My kid loved so much.Read more
We visited Meal Top in La Mer for a very popular Korean dessert that’s perfect to keep us cool during the Dubai heat - it’s called Bingsoo. Bingsoo is basically a mixture of shaved ice, creamy milk, and toppings such as fruits and biscuits. Meal Top has been catering Korea for a very long time and after trying out their lovely desserts, it has obviously explained why it’s been around for years and years. They have different flavours of Bingsoo and we tried their Minis which came in 3 flavours of your choice. We had the Dates which is limited edition for the Holy Month of Ramadan, Green Tea with Red Beans and Rice Cake, and Passionate Mango. My favourite amongst the 3 was the Passionate Mango because it was so so refreshing. It was a mixture of sweet and sour and creaminess. The Dates Bingsoo was also good especially it’s Ramadan, it’s nice to know that they have come up with something to relate to the celebration. The Green Tea was also good, I’m a green tea lover so I really liked it because I know that they used real green tea and did not just depend on any sweetener. We also tried out their Mixed Softie which comes in 2 flavours - Milk and Milk Tea. Wow! This is one of the best ice creams I have ever tried. The Milk Tea was so flavourful you can really taste its true flavours. We enjoyed their 3 layer Pancakes drizzled with chocolate sauce with strawberries and bananas on the side plus 3 berries on top. For our milkshake, we had Red Beans and I really liked it. There were real bits of red beans in every sip. Meal Top is such a nice place to visit and enjoy some cold desserts while strolling around La Mer. The place is very cozy with customer’s bingsoo artworks on the walls. The staff were all nice and accommodating the whole time we were there. I would definitely come to try out other flavours especially in the coming summer.Read more
I had a cooling Korean Bingsoo ice cream at Mealtop Bingsoo Café - Le mer, North. My selected flavor was the Green tea flavor with red beanS and rice cake cubes on top. Mary & Olive were very nice and helpful. The Green tea flavor was nice, but nothing special. I tasted the Milk softie ice cream (sample), it was fine too. SEE photos.Read more

On our last day in Bur Dubai we took a taxi to visit La Mer, after checking on line via live chat we found it was accessible by taxi and with no entrance charge. Looking for a cafe for a coffee after exploring the many yards of boardwalk crammed with restaurants and retail outlets we came across Mealtop. We didn’t understand the meaning of the name and a very helpful waiter told us it was Korean, he explained the menu and we opted to try a shaved coffee ice with 2 cappuccinos. He explained that if we had not tried the sweet red beans before, he would serve them separately in case we didn’t like them. What an unusual experience, and one which after we had got over the initial unusual match of something we would have normally expected to find in a Chilli con carne and an ice dish with some rice cake cubes, we tucked in and rather enjoyed it. We were then treated to a complementary soft ice, which again was unusual and vaguely rose water flavoured, we were surprised to be told this contained tea, and I don’t like tea, but thoroughly enjoyed it. Our final taster was a strawberry dish , again unusual, but very enjoyable. We may have been Korean food first timers but the experience was memorable and we enjoyed everything we tasted. Thanks again to our waiter for the explanations and for our first foray into Korean cuisine.Read more
