Me and my wife were starving the whole day after very bad lunch experience in other restaurant. We end up to this beautiful place, the staff were the stars of your restaurant from the lady who answered the call sorry i didn't know her name. Mohan was our waiter. He was very professional, clearly explained the menu very friendly. The food was super tasty made with love. Quick service. Well done guys. For sure ill be back again Read more
To be honest, on my first trip to Abu Dhabi's Olive Garden I was disappointed. I didn't find the same quality as Florida (where I first ate). But this last time I went, I was surprised. The food was delicious. The dishes are very well served and the service was amazing.Read more
Pasta without favlour. The lasagna precoked and very average for the price we paid. Totally overrated. Not recommended.Read more
My family of 10 celebrated 2019 Easter dinner at the restaurant where we were amazed by the unlimited yummy soup and the salads. The seafood main course we ordered were a delight to the senses. While we enjoyed our overall experience including the commendable service by our waiter, I would suggest that the restaurant can become more environment-friendly such as serving plastic straws only when requested. Plastic is a global pandemic issue to which The Olive Garden can form part of the solution by doing this small change. Also if the takeaway boxes can also change from toxic non-recyclable styrofoam to more eco friendly and sustainable products, that will really make more conscious consumers become repeat and loyal guests.Read more
We went here recently because the person I was with insisted on "a nice Italian place" :-))) I forgot that I had eaten at Olive Garden a couple of years ago and was thoroughly disappointed. Well I remembered once we entered the restaurant but I thought maybe it had improved. It certainly had not. Not for vegetarians who want something better than the ubiquitous Eggplant Parmigiana and pasta smothered with cheese (I love cheese but not necessarily in this way). To start with, Olive Gardens prices are on the higher side so the least one would expect is that everything is freshly rustled up and small variations would be made for vegetarians, given that Abu Dhabi restaurants unlike Dubai, are not vegetarian friendly. There was a veg appetizer platter which had small portions of spaghetti, ziti and an interesting looking lasagne with spinach and cheese. Now I hadn't come out to eat just for spaghetti and the ubiquitous ziti, so I asked if they could give me the spinach lasagne as a main course size and I was happy to pay the main course price for this. I was informed that the portions were already pre cut and the staff werent allowed to make variations like this. I then suggested they give me 2 of the small lasagne portions instead of the other two pastas. The lady who took our order said she had checked with the manager and he too expressed regret. I really found this attitude very odd and unwarranted given the general high prices. I was minded to walk out because I was getting upset with the attitude and I did not really fancy the other veg main course items but I didnt want to spoil it for my friend so we stayed. We ended up ordering the 5 cheese Ziti and the Cheese Ravioli. Both items were stodgy fare and grossly mediocre, they try to make up by the quantity of pasta and excessive melted cheese. My friend was also disappointed with the food and wowed not to come here again. We couldn't finish the large portions and asked them to pack the left overs together in one pack. The man who attended to us then tried to convince us that the "flavours" would get mixed up and they should be packed separate. Does stodge have a unique flavour? Going through other customer reviews, the main USP of Olive Garden at Wahda Mall seems to be the unlimited soup or salad and breadsticks that come with the main course. The minestrone soup was watery but passable, but the salad came smothered with oily dressing that ruined the taste of the ingredients. Is it a problem to offer the dressing separately? They offer extra cheese separately. The breadsticks were good but they werent offered again. I was very annoyed overall. The attitude, the unwillingness to make small changes for vegetarians, the stodgy food. One doesnt go out to eat at these prices to be unhappy. A bad experience. Definitely never again.Read more
