Protea Hotel by Marriott Cape Town North Wharf

Our family room was large, two big bedrooms, two bathrooms and a well appointed kitchen (though it could use more utensils). The beds are good firm. We recommend ac switches that don't glow as much, lighting up the room at night when you want darkness. The breakfast at the hotel was decent, you'll find something you like. The staff was lovely, and always happy to help.

Stayed at this hotel for two nights. The rooms are more of an apartment than your typical small hotel rooms. The apartment was clean and big. There was a washing machine which was great! The location was good. Close to many attractions. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Capetown.

We stay here quite often and really love it. The rooms are apartments with fridge, stove washing machine and microwave. Even has a little lounge area. Staff are really friendly and go out of their way to help. Breakfast is optional, but we usually include it when we stay, a small but good menu includes typical cereals, breads, an egg station as well as a warm meals such as sausage, mushroom, chicken etc. The hotel is located close to the V&A, and about 20 minutes drive from the airport.

Friendly and welcoming front desk staff. The room was incredibly spacious and well equipped. Very clean. Would’ve liked there to be dish soap, a sponge, and paper towels in the kitchen area. Would be a 5 if it was possible to take the stairs up to the room floors. The doors are locked.

Hotel great and staff friendly, especially at breakfast. Reception staff greet (even if just walking past), always smiling and willing to help. Housekeeping could do a bit better though.
