We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights over Christmas and the staff there made it truly memorable for us. The resort itself is absolutely magnificent (the free dhow ride around the canal was a highlight), the breakfast is the best of any hotel we've stayed in in the UAE (we've lived here 6 years!) but it's ALL the staff of this hotel that really make it... The people who work at this hotel are really exceptional hosts who simply cannot do enough to makesure your stay is special. We really hope to be back soon :)More
Definitely one of my most unforgettable staycaytion experience. December 14, 2020 it was our wedding date, we booked a room stay at Shangri-la AUH for 2 nights. At first they gave us a room upgrade, room was decorated with rose petals with a congratulatory note on plate served with welcome cake.🥰 Big thanks also to Mr. Baker (manager), Ms. Carlin (front desk) and Mister (the one in charge for Abra Boat) I forgot his name but their customer service is superb, they did their best to make our request possible, I wouldn't forget when they did their best to open the Abra Boat and let us have our wedding photoshoot and video opportunity (btw abra boat was close during that time because of the pandemic)More
Back in 2007 the freshly opened Shangri-La or The Shang as we affectionately named it was our local, over the years we have enjoyed many a brunch, ladies night and NYE celebrations there. Having always wanted to stay there after 13 years we finally made it! We moved to Dubai in February 2020 and sadly because of Covid unable to travel abroad, we decided it was time to take a little staycation back to Abu Dhabi. The Shangri-La certainly deserves its 5 star status, every single member of staff we came into contact with could not do enough to make our stay so welcoming and without being over facing, all the staff were friendly and professional with the added touch of taking the time to know our names on arrival. The hotel was clean and well presented at all times and the rooms elegantly furnished. The breakfast was one of the best breakfasts we have had with great quality food and the best coffee, the Shang Palace restaurant did not disappoint either. We will surely return to this peaceful haven for our next staycation in Abu Dhabi. More
Just had a 3 days stay in the hotel and I found that staff were accomodating from the reception, to housekeeping and most especially to the restaurant staffs. They were so welcoming and accomodating. Hands up to Mr.Durga, Jemuel,Pooch,Lito and Ms.Cindy. Thank you for the good service.Keep it up.More
The hotel and facilities were great, the people were very supportive, courteous and helpful. The cleaning staff were not very good and the honeymooners package was almost non-existent. The view from the room was very poor with lots of construction works. The breakfast was excellent and the bathrooms were extremely elegant and clean.More
