Popped in for a quick afternoon snack after a family day at the spa. Beautiful fresh food, great service and relaxing location overlooking the pool and the Palm. Highly recommended. Thanks to Sherlyn for the really quick, friendly service :)More
Ok so the good points are:- lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings, stunning setting and accommodation is luxurious and excellent kids club. Downside:- the service is below par, not what you expect in Dubai. Sun loungers are scarce with the 7am sunbed stormers out searching for places to reserve with towels, not enough sunbeds for the capacity of the hotel. The F&B service around the pool is poor, too few staff to be attentive. The cabana service bells are ignored and you’d better order lunch at least an hour and half before you want to eat. saved the day for us! The pool life guards are like the ‘fun police’ or anti fun police, no inflatables permitted in the pool due to space and even the smallest ball for playing catch in the pool is banned by the lifeguards who vigorously patrol the pool area and pull you up as though you’ve just jumped a red light on a busy road. Restaurants are mediocre and again service is slow and most are booked up so we have had room service or gone out of the hotel for dining. We holiday in Dubai every year and my husband does business here so often stays in Dubai and have never experienced such a level of frustration with service and quality before. Shame! Dubai was an amazing serviced holiday but questioning its value currently as other friends staying elsewhere have reported similar findings.Covid bites again! Wouldn’t mind if it carried the same cost as Turkey but it’s double the price!More
I am responsible for conducting hotel inspections for a well-known British airline, so I will provide you with a true and honest review of the Sofitel. Prior to arriving at the esteemed Sofitel resort, I was in touch with Soliman, who was extremely helpful and gracious with providing us information to ensure our early check-in would be facilitated seamlessly. This is my family's 3rd visit and again we were welcomed with open arms, as if we were returning home. On arrival, we were immediately greeted at the express check-in where Mr Hassan very kindly provided us with a room to relax in whilst the upgraded room was being made up; this gave us an opportunity to enjoy the facilities at the hotel, relax and unwind. To allow for the slight inconvenience Hassan very professionally compensated us. Soliman was a true asset and raised his game above and beyond my expectations throughout our stay by greeting us on a daily basis and being our go to person to resolve any of our queries and cater to any requests from providing excursions to booking our restaurants. We hardly left the resort as they cater to every need. The hotel and resort itself is absolutely stunning with an amazing gym and its multiple pools and access to the beach with attentive lifeguards. Every morning we visited Moana for breakfast where the staff were impeccable with attention to detail, in particular, Binoy and JR provided an amazing service, as did Amir who catered to everything we requested swiftly, even remembering our orders. One of our favourite parts of the trip was dining at the Porterhouse where the food was absolutely to die for with 5-star service, as usual. The staff at world eatery remembered me by name and provided me with a coffee every morning which was highly appreciated. We required a late check out where Soliman again came to the rescue, he was truly conscientious, really making us feel that we were ‘at home’ as he said. The manager at check-out aided us with all of our covid travel documents within minutes (can’t remember his name but his email is h6541). I have to say even after visiting 3 times, we would never tire of the Sofitel and we definitely plan on returning again in the future. Mr Schneider should be extremely proud of his management team and staff who truly raised their game on this visit where nothing was too much trouble. The standard of service, facilities and attention to detail has been firmly etched into our memories. Thank you for a beautiful holiday.More
We got an free upgrade to the „beach suite“ as a surprise for my son‘s birthday. We had such a wonderful time. The rooms are beautiful. The bed is very comfortable. Special thanks to Salman & Saida. they put balloons in our room and made a special surprise for my son. My 2 year old was so happy. The Sofitel the Palm is perfect for families with little kids. They have a lot of pool areas, escpecially for children. They also have a kids club and baby swimm classes. the whole staff is so friendly. We had a great weekend and we will be back again soon :-)More
