Frustrating wait for our room, eventually got into our room after 4pm. Disappointing.... But have to say the service recovery was amazing. Kudos to the Duty Manager Queenie who turned our experience around 100%. Ps Queenie, happy birthday!!! " Sofitel" you have an excellent member of staff who should be promoted. I am a gold Accor cardholder an was previously a platinum.... Disappointing with the check in though....But thank you for the upgrade as per my loyalty status.Read more
When service is excellent, there is not many comments to write. When the staff is always ready to help you with a smile, there is not a lot to comment. When the room is very confortable , useful and tidy, difficult to complain. When the food make your stomach happy everytime , difficult not to enjoy !Read more
Initially it took me a while to get used to my glasses fogging up, but when I overcame that, the resort was my oyster. The welcome to a weary traveler in the wee small hours, the refreshing glass of lime juice, the attentive staff taking the bags to the suite and sharing tips on the bits and bobs just made it all so comforting. Breakfast rated a 12 out of 10, customer service a 14. Cannot thank the housekeeping enough for the attention to detail. The cabana staff by the pools and beach were awesome. Friendly, attentive and on the ball. A wonderful stay and cannot wait to return. Just a note to management, was in a beach suite. Maybe a few more hooks in the wet areas, and new ironing boards so pattern of ironing board does not replicate to the garment.Read more
We enjoyed our first family trip to Dubai mainly because our young child enjoyed it. What annoys me most about sofitel is its tag line, which is "luxury hotels" but they should rename it, if their palm one is anything to go by, as "middle of the road hotels". It was a shock, not just to me but they want to pre charge your room for an extortionate £750 but you get an idea of how much people tend to end up paying. Others around me also found this a shock but vocalized their discontent. The beaches although the longest on the palm and no fault of the hotel itself its still hard to get your head around. Instead of seeing an endless Vista meeting the horizon you are met with a view of other hotels around you. The pool itself is fine, quite large and the kids pools are very entertaining although not a dab on Atlantis. The rooms are really basic compared to other basic rooms in the Palm and the service too is substandard in my opinion e.g. I had to complain to get basic things like milk to the room without a charge and it would be pretty slow coming too. Great points are the restaurants but again aren't as luxurious as others that we visited on our stay such such as Zabeels restaurants. The afternoon tea is also good but not included as a restaurant. Would be good if sofitel had an all inclusive option rather than the half board options that you would find all around Dubai especially if it's trying to be family orientated. The kids club was quite good as the baby pools are heated and our baby had the time of her life. Read more
One of the greatest hotels we have ever been to in our lives. We stayed for four days as family vacation. The staff are very welcoming , friendly and helpful , especially Manager Elie and Mr. Mina Shaker on the front desk who were very helpful and friendly. The facilities are great. Our favorite facility was Amura kids club. The club is very safe for the kids. The staff in Amura are wonderful and the entertainment program is great and the kids cinema is wonderful.Outdoors there's a small fountain and baby Swimmimg pool which was so fun too. We had breakfast in Manava restaurant. There's a good variety of food and the quality of food was superb . The room service are perfect, fast and very professional. The Swimmimg pools are more than three, our favorite was the one with slides. Our kid had so much fun there. The sea was a great experience for us. There're two life guards and the water is so warm and relaxing. We forgot to bring our kids sand toys but the great thing was the hotel put a huge plastic box full of sand toys for kids to borrow. We found out that there was a library too but unfortunately we didn't have time to visit it. Read more
