Interesting dishes but the portion wise a bit pricy.I prefer Orchard branch where is interestingly decorated and less crowded. People say their coffee is good.Read more

My wie and I had lunch here a few days ago. It was quite busy and the meals looked good from standing out front. The prices are no expensive but they are also not cheap. My wife ordered the big breakfast and asked for poached eggs. It could have been a nice meal aside from 2 issues. 1 the poached eggs were hard, not soft yolk. Quite disappointing that as a customer we should need to be explicit about the yolk softness. Secondly the fancy pork sausage they mentioned in the menu was nothing more than a processed pork hot dog. Again for the price I would have expected an actual pork sausage with mince meat. To me I see this as a deceptive ploy, customer expecting one thing and getting another. Had these two issues not been so my wife would have been quite happy with her meal. I ordered the eggs Benedict. I had 3 issues; 1 of the 2 eggs was perfect, the other hard; being a bit hungry I also ordered the pork sausage as a side for $5, very disappointed; the eggs were served on muffins which would have been fantastic had it been toasted and not soft wet and uncooked. Had a little more effort been made to the quality of the food prepared and the use of a real pork sausage both my wife and I would have been very happy and wanted to return again. However I won't be back anytime soon. if i do I will be very clear about what we expect from the meal and will stay away from the so called fancy pork sausage. Price wise it was reasonable if you get what you expect. If you go, I suggest being very clear with what you would like served. The customer service was quite good, above the standard here in SG.Read more
Having a different kind of coffee - the signature Pepper Agave Latte. Upon first sip, it doesn't seem too sweet - in fact, the pepper really gives you quite a kick, & overall it's a pleasant drink that glides down your throat. But after sipping on the regular flat white (comes with 2 shots of espresso), I then realized how sweet the Agave makes this drink. Still finished it all, though. The coffee options here are plentiful & seem good. Eatigo discounts aren't valid for drinks - but the drinks are value for money on their own. (Can't say the same for the food, though.) Will be back for the drinks. The Academïcs Breakfast ($25++) is for those who want a little bit of everything in their massive breakfast spread. The Pork Bockwrust Sausage isn't my favourite - the skin was very tough to cut through & the meat was your pretty average run-of-the-mill sausage kind of meat. The Prosciutto Parma Ham, on the other hand, was surprisingly my favourite meat in this platter; not overly salty & although some bits were too dry, it was generally acceptable. You get to choose how your eggs are done - sunny side up, poached or scrambled, & I chose the latter. I wish they had been cooked a little runnier & not so dry. 'Tis pretty much personal preference, though. The rest of this dish was nothing fancy, but something that completes your typical big breakfast experience: Homemade baked beans, roasted baby potatoes, toasted bread & seasonal greens. Special shoutout goes to the toasted bread, which is wayyyy better than the English muffins served with the other Eggs Benedict dish we ordered. The saltiness of the Prosciutto de Parma Ham in the Eggs Ben with Honey Lemon Guac ($22++) was harmonious together with the creamy runny yolks of the poached eggs. The biggest disappointment, however, was actually the English muffins, which should've been toasted a little better if even at all. In all, thankful there was a 50% Eatigo discount with my meal - without which, these brunch items would be way too expensive for what they bring to the table.Read more
Read more
