We booked to come here as my son really loves sloths and this place offered a sloth experience where he could feed and pet a sloth and learn some more about them. We liked the concept of a rainforest and you started at the top and worked your way down the levels and meet different animals on each level. The staff were very friendly and enthusiastic, they made sure they spoke to the children and explained things about the animals. The birds are free flying so if you don’t like things flying above your head then you may not enjoy this place. There is a nice soft play area outside and we also had food in the cafe which was very tasty and reasonably priced. Read more
Stumbled on this place because of the Dubai Pass. Glad it was included was on of the highlights of our trip. The building outside is unquie and as you approach it's like a giant rainforest inside it's a huge tree with birds flying all around. The sound of a fall and the humidity make it like your in a rain forest with birds that you thought didn't exist. You start at the top and work down each floor. It's a super unquie place and each turn gives you a new surprise. The staff are super friendly and very educational. Birds, insects, amphibians, snakes, monkeys, sloth, turtles, fish, stingrays, bat cave. The coolest part at 2pm they did a feeding of the Slow Loris. Never heard of or seen one of these animals before and super cool to learn about. Definitely give this place a chance it could be the highlight of your trip definitely was for us.Read more
We didn't really know what to expect but had a wonderful time exploring this rain forest in the city. Although it's not a big floor area but is set out across 5 "floors" so it feels like a big space. You walk in to the floor level of the rain forest, full of high tanks, and take a lift to the very top and walk down a spiral walkway around a giant tree full of birds (watch out for droppings!). There's even a sloth hanging around the handrails. So many fascinating reptiles and insects to look at and even a few handled by staff that you can interact with. In the basement you can travel to the Australian outback and meet the wallabies and various other creatures. You can use your ticket to come back the same day which is great as there are different animal shows throughout the day. With parking next to it and a friendly cafe its a great family day out.Read more
Had two separate experiences here: 1. Sloth Experience - this experience was amazing, up to 10 people could be involved but my friend & I were lucky enough to be the only ones there mid-week. We got to feed & pet Lola the sloth and learn a lot about her & sloths in general from the amazing staff & handlers! 2. The Green Planet itself - lovely experience, unlike other zoo experiences. It feels very immersive as you walk through the buildings and all the birds are flying around freely! We also saw the piraña feeding , as well as took a walk through the bat cave where the bats are freely flying all around you! Used the entertainer for the entry ticket, well worth it! Read more
Having researched “things to do” prior to our latest trip to Dubai, we came across this wonderful new attraction. My other half is a keen bird watcher so this was right up his street. It certainly didn’t disappoint & we were able to get up close to the birds & other animals who all appeared very well cared for. There were a large amount of unusual birds flying freely in a superb purpose built dome. There was also a bat enclosure which was certainly an unexpected bonus. We went in at feeding time & though it was scary at first, the bats flying so close, it was a fascinating experience that I can’t imagine having anywhere else. Amongst the others to see were, sloths, monkeys, reptiles & fish. The staff were very engaging & informative. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit & would recommend. Read more
