We picked a good day to visit as the zoo was relatively quiet with a few school children visiting. The children were all very smart and well organised, such a joy to see. From the beginning you have to pay R15 for a cramped little parking. Then you need to pay a R100 per person just to enter. Then you end up seeing all the animals in the place in an hour long walk. First time visitor and definitely my last. I am such an ambassador for Johannesburg it is a total shame to find our zoo is clearly aimed at milking tourists paying with Euro and Dollar making it a very expensive exercise for us mere locals. Pity my own Johannesburg Zoo clearly does not really want me there. .Read more
Great day out at bargain price with no hidden fees for extra attractions. Lovely place, snacks and drinks readily available.Read more
