We stayed at one of the Cliff View Premier Suite with fantastic view of the beach. Unfortunately, the only room available is at lower floor but still they had a good view with some trees blocking lower view point. Weather was good, look like it's going to rain but most of the time it looks gloomy. So didnt have nicer photo of the ocean. But we love the room, amenities and facilities including the bath tub with the ocean view. The breakfast is nice. The nasi lemak, nasi dagang are all great plus the latte. the beach is not crowded most of the time. very quite and privacy. so we had a good time swimming from one point to another point. the coral is quite far from the beach so it didnt injured our feet while we are in the water. we just love the beach very much. it's like a big, clean, clear, salted pool.More
i went to taaras twice and this trip was the longest trip almost 3 weeks there. the staff ( mimi ) was very helpful and hard working person. she still young but very multitask person. u can ask for anythg she will try her best to get u the stuff. love the Atv ride, kayak, volleyball , and etc. i enjoyed staying here and definitely will come back soon. tq so much taras and the team. 5 starMore
It is one of the earliest resorts built and located at one of the best spots on Redang Island. We were checked into a garden suite earlier last month (Sep 2020). The size of the room was smaller than what was expected of a luxurious villa as claimed. But if you're not fussy, you can head straight to the smooth fine sand and majestic sceneries at the beach. The view from the gym is to die for! We had a memorable time visiting the turtle feeding spot near the property and a wonderful experience releasing baby turtles in the evening. However, the foods served at the hotel were definitely not up to par with other 5-star (international standard) beach resorts. Most parts of the property were not manned/maintained (maybe due to Covid-19 SOPs). Breakfasts in the morning felt like some sort of a chore to the staff. We didn't feel welcome on arrival, in fact, it was quite chaotic during check-out due to high traffic. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.More
You just know when you just had a wonderful stay/vacation when you feel hard to move on back to your normal routine.. and that what happened to me and the rest of my travel party after we left for homes from Taaras In general, Taaras has the best beach amongst all beach resorts in Malaysia, from my personal opinion. We were there during low season period which made it better, when we can lay back and relax more at most every part / section of the resort. Most of the earlier guest reviews highlighted on great guest relation experience dealing with the staffs which we definitely agreed to. Most of the staffs are attentive and kind which make it easy to communicate with. And some of them went extra miles i.e. Chef Satria and the team from AADD, Kak Liza from Bayu, Florina and the concierge team from from desk.More
We loved the Taaras! We booked as a treat for my recent birthday and what a great stay we had! So much so, that we now plan to return over the coming Christmas break. We arrived early at the jetty and after making a call to the Taaras, the van swiftly showed up for our transfer to the resort. Right from our arrival, the staff shone. We felt very welcome by the friendly reception staff at check-in. As we were early, I expected to wait for the room but we were assigned a room right away and the buggy took us to room 263. We booked the Bay View Suite via Agoda for 5 nights, and assume our room was upgraded because the resort map shows room 263 as a Cliff Sea View Suite. I highly recommend this room!! It was absolutely fantastic...very spacious with a gorgeous view over the beach and ocean. We found it very clean and welcoming on arrival with a fruit plate awaiting on our table. During our stay, the housekeeping really did a lovely job. The room was always beautifully remade and tidied generally first thing in the morning whilst we were at breakfast. The private beach was super nice, with the white sand and clear water that it is known for. My son and I particularly enjoyed the swings over the water and the floating carpets. A highlight was hiring the 2 person see through canoe and paddling the short distance over to the adjacent bay to snorkel and see the turtles. We also spent our time swimming, playing beach tennis, on the brand new pool tables, pingpong tables or just lazing around on the beach....these are all free activities. The resort also has ATV's for hire but we didn't use these. One negative point that I would mention is that we didn't swim in the pool as we did not find it that attractive, as it was not crystal clear. Maybe this is due to the filtration system or chemical imbalance as during our stay, we only saw 2 people in it on the one occasion. We notice that a new infinity pool is about to commence construction, so maybe this will solve that problem. The breakfast was nice, we enjoyed the omelettes and fresh roti with dhal curry most mornings. The hot and iced mocha were also delicious. I would have loved to see more selection of fresh fruits and juice but overall the breakfast was good. In the evenings, we dined in both the Asean and Beach Brasserie restaurants. We particularly loved the Indian and Thai dishes in the Beach Brasserie. The service we experienced during our stay was always so attentive. A great example of this was at dinner one evening. I ordered a dish that was quite underwhelming and hadn't eaten much but didn't want to make a fuss so I just put it aside. Staff questioned me about my enjoyment of the meal and offered to replace it for me. I declined a replacement and staff then offered some complementary sweets which we very much appreciated. I was extra surprised when leaving dinner to find that the dish was removed from the bill. In my opinion, the staff "go the extra mile" and do an excellent job to ensure customer satisfaction. I would like to add my sincerest appreciation to the management and staff who helped me deal with the stress of my "last minute" flight cancellations. This trip was during the recent lockdown of KL and Selangor where a number of airlines flights were cancelled. Without delay, staff looked into other possibilities on my behalf and suggested a couple of alternatives to ensure our arrival home. As a result, I want to personally thank the General Manager Mr Pravir Mishra, and staff members Shane, Nan and Michelle....your help and kindness was greatly appreciated. Some other staff came to mind for their friendly service- Tina at reception, and restaurant staff Jeen, Ashan and Tan. HIGHLIGHTS OF STAY- ALL STAFF MEMBERS we came into contact with were kind, friendly and attentive The BEACH and snorkelling with TURTLES The ROOM SUGGESTIONS FOR IMPROVEMENT- The POOL Some menu items We would love it if the resort had a BOCCE BALL PIT as its great family fun and easy to include within your resort facilities.More
