Ting Irie

Our travel group visited Ting Irie while visiting Dubai from USA. The food was so amazing that we made a second trip. The oxtail and beans were delicious! The punch rum was literally a knockout…at least that’s how it left me feeling 😂 We did not have a reservation the first time our party (of 14) of us visited but they were graciously accommodating. Our server ODAINE was the best (both times) with our party. The music and atmosphere was fantastic. If you are visiting Dubai and have a taste for the islands, definitely come here.

The food was as I expected, very good. We had a large party but surprisingly the wait wasn't long. The beef ribs were to die for, and the oxtails were a hit. Throw in a few of their signature drinks, and you'll have a night/day to remember. Also, it's a great location for a couple of good photos.

This review is for the Brunch experience only. As part of a friend’s birthday party, we went to Ting Irie for Brunch. The atmosphere was nice and the vibes were good. Staff were very accommodating. And then things have started to go downhill fast… The table we were given was at the back of the restaurant, exactly beneath 2 speakers. And as good as the beats were, the music volume was cranked to 11 before the food hit our table. The food, when arrived, was nice. Wasn’t the best Jamaican food I’ve tried but some items were flavorful; the patties were nice, chicken wings were juicy, then the mains: Jerk chicken, oxtail, chickpeas curry, and the flavorful rice. However, the food arrived in a time when the DJ has started asking people to put down their forks and spoons and start dancing, and due to the music being ear bursting loud, the experience was plagued with me fighting to block my ears and therefore, the good food was not enjoyed fully. In fact the music was so loud, we had to go to the pharmacy next door and get ear plugs for multiple people. If this is your thing, by all means, have fun and party hard, but if you can’t tolerate extremely loud noises and music, then consider this as a heads up, and maybe try to stay as far as you can from a speaker.

It’s my second time coming to the Dubai location. Our server was great but the new girl that was shadowing him seemed confused as to her role in the interaction. When I told her my food was cold she needed to get permission before taking my plate. Our server came over, apologized and brought me out a hot fresh new bowl of oxtail. Despite her awkwardness the vibe here is nice and chill. They have a great happy hour menu to try from, it would be wise to order the beef patties.

Mo has been the most attentive and caring employee I've ever had the pleasure to encounter. He's been always checking in on us and making sure everything was up to standard. The food and the vibe here is amazing. I 100% recommend it!
