I have known this restaurant from first phase till today. The food is always great and the staffs are very polite and friendly. Yes its true part of the view of the mosque blocked due to the constuction on the other side of the bank, however neverthe less still the tranquility and ambience is there. We ordered some lovely dishes and I believe this is the best Indian restaurant in Abu Dhabi with a view so far. Manager Adil with his team is doing a great job, and no restaurant is run without its staffs and chefs, Mohamed, Emam,Houda,Abhishek,Arjun,Abeer and Human from service is doing a great job. From the chefs Naveen,Prabhakar,Pradeep,Shambhu and Manish keep up the good work. You all are stars of the restaurant. I would love to visit again and will advise all to try it for sure. I have been a great and regular patron of this restaurant for many years, but a visit for dinner a few days ago was a big disappointment. The beautiful view of the big mosque across the water is partially marred by a newly constructed villa. There is a quay for water sports just below the restaurant, so much of the tranquility of the place is lost. The food seemed pricey and a bottle of water cost AED 35 or so! This was never the case before. I asked for a small sliver of cake since it was my daughter's birthday. Such a piece with candles and decorations was complimentary since as far back as I can remember, but I was asked for AED 160 or thereabouts for a regular cake and told prior booking was necessary for this. The restaurant has lost its charm, especially for someone who has seen it in its previous glory.More
We were delighted with our choice to go to Ushna, the food is just brilliant. Exceptionally tasty and fresh. Everything was some of the best I have tasted from the fresh onion bahjee starters to the creamy daahl makhani and the even more buttery parathas. Yacob looked after us extremely well.
