What is Singapore Rewards?
Singapore Rewards is a '2-for-1' incentives program specially designed to allow tourists to experience the best venues in town. Available as a purpose-built smartphone App, Singapore Rewards includes unique products for Singapore. Singapore Rewards product features 2-4-1 offers from 25 select merchants who represent the best of Singapore in an exciting mix of categories including attractions, spas, restaurants, cafés, leisure and much more. Singapore Rewards is an offline App, which means that once you've activated your 241 Singapore Rewards product, you don't need a data package or incur data roaming charges to use our amazing 2-4-1 offers whilst on holiday.
How does Singapore Rewards work?
All you have to do is download the free Singapore Rewards App to your smartphone,. When you want to redeem a 2-4-1 offer, select it on your phone and follow the simple process to redeem it when you ask for the bill at the outlet.
What is a 2-4-1 offer?
A 2-4-1 offer allows customers to 'buy one and get one for free'. For a restaurant the 2-4-1 offer is for a main course, allowing you to purchase 2 main courses and get the cheaper one for free. For a leisure attraction you can buy two admissions and one of them will be free. For a beauty treatment or spa two people can have a treatment and only pay for one. It's that simple!
How many offers are available in a Singapore Rewards product?
Singapore Rewards product features 2-4-1 offers from 25 select merchants who represent the best of Singapore, including an exciting mix of attractions, spas, restaurants, cafés, leisure and much more.
How do I see the different merchants available within the products?
Once you have downloaded the Singapore Rewards App, click on the 'SEE OFFERS' button that enables you to view the merchants and their 2-4-1 offers in the product.
What formats are Singapore Rewards products available in?
All Singapore Rewards products are designed for mobile and can be redeemed through the free Singapore Rewards App, which is available to download from the Apple Store and Play Store.
How long are Singapore Rewards products valid for?
Singapore Rewards offers are valid from 2 January – 30 December 2016
Will Singapore Rewards work if I don't have a data package on vacation?
Yes it will! Singapore Rewards is a purpose-built App specially designed for tourists – which means that once you've activated your Singapore Rewards product, you don't need a data package or incur data roaming charges to use our amazing 2-4-1 offers whilst on holiday.
2. REDEEMING SINGAPORE REWARDS OFFERS
How many offers are there for each participating merchant?
There are two offers for each Singapore Rewards merchant, which can either be the same offer or two distinct offers. For example, a spa offering two 2-4-1 offers, where one is for a head massage and the other is for a foot massage. You get two treatments for free!
How many offers may I use at one time?
Singapore Rewards contains two 2-4-1 offers per merchant (25 merchants).
A maximum of 4 offers can be used at one time. You can use one offer per 2 people and a maximum of 4 offers for 8 guests. In most cases, you will use one offer for at least 2 persons visiting with any of our merchants.
How do I redeem a Singapore Rewards offer?
Select the 2-4-1 offer you want to redeem, click on REDEEM OFFER and ask your server or attendant to enter their 4-digit PIN number. Your attendant may take a note of the redemption code before processing your final bill displaying your Singapore Rewards discount. The same process will be repeated to redeem anther offer for the same bill.
What happens if outlets close during the validity period?
Please read the Rules of Use for additional information on the acceptance and validity of offers in our products.
What restrictions do the offers have on them?
Singapore Rewards offers are not valid during public holidays or other holidays such as Valentine's Day, Please note we do observe region-specific exclusion days. You can view all the exclusion days within the Rules of Use.
3. USING SINGAPORE REWARDS
Do I have to pay to download Singapore Rewards?
Singapore Rewards is free to download and can be easily found in the Apple Store or Play Store.
Do I need internet connection to download my offers?
Yes, you need internet connection to complete your activation within the Singapore Rewards App. Once fully downloaded the Singapore Rewards product can be accessed when you are offline – all offers can be browsed and redeemed without internet access.
Can I access the offers on different devices?
Singapore Rewards products and offers are specific to your account and can only be accessed on the device you downloaded it onto.
I forgot my password. How can I sign in to Singapore Rewards?
When you need to sign in and have forgotten your password, please click on the 'Forgot Password' link on the login screen. Our system will automatically send an email to your registered email address with the instructions on resetting your password.
How do I view offers within the Singapore Rewards product?
Select the destination at the top of any screen to view the offers in Singapore
Do I need an internet connection to redeem Singapore Rewards offers?
No! Singapore Rewards was built specifically for tourists who typically do not have mobile network coverage when travelling to foreign destinations. The app works offline – which means you don't need to be connected to an Internet connection to redeem your 2-4-1 offers.
How do I redeem a Singapore Rewards offer from the App?
When you request your bill, you must notify the person attending to you that you want to redeem a Singapore Rewards offer using your smartphone. Then, while the teller is watching, you just tap to redeem the offer. The App will ask for the merchant's PIN. Simply ask the teller to enter their merchant PIN on your smartphone, and when they have done this you will get a confirmation notice on your screen. The teller will most likely want to make a note of the reference number that appears on your screen so you should allow them to do this. If you accidentally moved past this then you can still see the redemption confirmation reference by going to 'Redemption History' from the menu. The teller will then prepare your bill with the discount applied. The merchant will receive a receipt of the redemption by email and this will contain the same reference number for security and auditing purposes.
If I go to a participating outlet and I hit redeem on an offer on my App account and find that they do not accept the offer for some reason, can I cancel the redemption?
Yes, you can cancel the redemption at any point until the teller successfully enters their merchant PIN. However please note that a completed redemption cannot be reversed. We are unable to reinstate offers in the Singapore Rewards App.
Can I see how much I have saved?
Yes, when you successfully redeem a 2-4-1 offer you will see an estimate of how much you have saved. Additionally, from the home screen you can see the estimated savings for all the offers you have redeemed. Add them all up to view your total savings! We think you'll be thrilled.
How can I change the currency that is used within the App?
The Singapore Rewards App has standardized on using the US Dollar to show you the purchase price and your savings. You can change your currency preference for estimated savings; just go to 'My Profile' in the menu.
How do I find out how many offers I have left for a particular outlet on my App account?
Each time you open the app after activating the Singapore Rewards product, your home screen displays a complete list of all the 2-4-1 offers for Singapore. Offers still available for redemption will be indicated as such, as will those that have already been redeemed. Redeemed offers will show up as a blurred tile with your estimated savings mentioned on it.
Do I have access to the Rules of Use via my App?
Yes, validity and Rules of Use are contained within the Offer Screen as well as from the menu.
How do I redeem more than one offer at the same time on the App – e.g. when I am with a group of friends and I have offers available to use?
You can currently only redeem one offer at a time within the App. So if you want to redeem say 2 offers at the same time then you need to go through the process twice with the teller and he/she will then produce your bill with the total discount applied.
