This is definately one of my favourite restaurants. The view is spectacular and the food delicious. We shared the starter Calamari Nam Jim - probably the best calamari tubes I ever eaten - flash fried. My husband had the Eisbein which came as crispy as he requested, and I had the delicious Oxtail. Service was excellent and praise must go to our waitron, Zuzu, Head Waiter, Thato, and Shaylin.Read more
This restaurant is a "Must" to bring visitors. We have never been disappointed - the food may take a while to prepare but what on earth is the rush when you have such a stunning view to enjoy. They have lunch specials for +/- R60 that includes a glass of bottle wine or a beer. Portions are large and all dishes ordered were delicious. Prego roll made with sirloin steak. Spinach and feta quiche made in a bowl that was huge. Service was friendly and efficient.Read more
Had lunch at Intaba View on Sunday. The views are really great, and you can sit outside overlooking the rolling hills. Be warned that in summer it can get rather hot so I suggest sitting on the open balcony rather - you can still enjoy the view. The menu offering is a little predictable. They offered a buffet for Sunday lunch - with the standard offering of meats, veg & desserts. My partner had the Eisbein which she said was very good. I went for the calamari tubes & heads combo. The option is either fried or grilled - however it's not possible to have the tubes grilled and the heads fried. And it comes with rice OR chips - again not an option to have a combo of both. Not that I'm trying to be difficult, but these are basic offerings that can be requested at almost all chain restaurants offering seafood currently. The service was a little slow, but if you're on a relaxing outing that's ok. The venue seems to be popular with weddings and events - which i am sure would be great here.Read more
It was full...full of empty chairs...I know it was a Tuesday, but service took 40 minutes...Sorry The waitress was a sweetie, and the eisbein very tender when it arrived, however NO samosas in the snack baskeet and we were told it was the quiche and salad that took the longest to prepare... I guess cutting 3 cherry tomatoes in half takes some doing! Not nice, at least we had time to talk! Management was clearly lacking in this establishment that has great potential. Not recomended!Read more
For a restaurant out in the sticks... this place sure is amazing. Popped by for a delicious coffee and home made cup cakes. The service was great, the view incredible, and the brief treat makes me want to work my way through the rest their delectable menu. Free Wifi...had me sitting there for ages... I ended up loosing track of time, partly due to the instrumental jazz music. I heard that they have live music performances and roast on Sundays... so I may need to do more than just whet my appetite when visiting again. Read more
