Amazing restaurant. I was introduce to that adress by a colleague from Sri lanka. Highly recommanded Read more
The menu sets out clearly its offerings and is well explained to the novice to Sri Lankan cuisine. However, it would be helpful if the waiter does not just take down orders but offer his view if too much is being ordered or describe more about the dishes The food is delicious and well prepared But once the restaurant is busy, service levels drop significantlyRead more
Returned to this restaurant after a span of a few years. It was a good decision. We had wanted to have some Sri Lankan ( Lagoon ) crabs for dinner. So we ordered a medium sized crab for the two of us . There were three styles of preparation to choose from and we chose the second choice i.e. Ama's ( Mother's ) style. We also chose to have four plain hoppers or what we in Malaysia call ' apom ' a sort of light Indian pancake. Much later, I decided at Ronnie's suggestion to have an egg apom with a sprinkling of pepper. This egg apom was delicious. Ronnie is the cheerful, alert and courteous Bangladeshi waiter who by his extraordinary service and attention to detail, made our dining session at this place, a wonderful experience. The crab curry came thick , tasty and was just right. We enjoyed the meal by dipping the apom lightly in the gravy and then popping that morsel of spicy goodness in our mouths. We also had a green banana vege dish that was unique and nice. For drinks, my wife chose a young coconut and I opted for a Carlsberg draught beer. My wife remarked to me after the meal that on our next visit, we were going to try some of the other well known Sri Lanka dishes and maybe the Prawn dish too. I am therefore looking forward to the next visit hopefully sometime soon. Even the executive chef Siva Suppaiya dropped by for a chat. Nice touch there.Read more
Superb Jaffna Style tiger prawns and to die for sweet appoms. Chef and waiters take pride in their food and service. Worth every ringgit i paid for. If you want to complain about the price then go elsewhere. I know cooking with passion when i taste one.Read more
We arrived early by 20 minutes & the restaurant was nearly empty & we were anxious to know whether we have reached the right place but quickly we changed our mind, as soon as the starters arrived- Curried Cashew nuts & Fried Crabs. Both were excellent & beyond our expectation. When my bloody mary arrived , I started to enjoy my appetizers even more. By 7.30pm the restaurant was filling up, table by table. The main dishes all nearly arrived together, which was great. The waiter asked -how was the food & we told him it was delicious, then he recommended that we should give a try to their Signature Crab dish. Which reached our table half way through our meal. That was awesome & my wife loved the gravy that came with the crab. Overall the food was very delicious. The spices were of the correct mix & it wasn't chilli hot.Read more
