I’d dinner with a few friends at Dacha last night. We all had a good time. I took the 4-course special menu. The food was authentic Russian or Eastern European. Every dish was delicious. I started with blini with salmon roe and sour cream which was followed by Siberian pork dumplings. My main course was beef stroganoff. I chose my favourite Medovik for dessert. I was glad to have it since it’s sold out when I came to the restaurant last time. The portion was so big that I couldn’t finish the whole piece of cake. I’d the vodka pairing. It’s my first time to pair food with vodka and the experience was interesting. The service was friendly and professional. However, there wasn’t much ambience to speak of. Including us, there’re only 2 tables of customers. I’ll return. More
It's a homey restaurant with class. It's also a great place for friends to hang out. 6 of my friends and I have a blast there last night. We started with the Russian Crystal Caviar and Champagne, both were memorable. Then, we have the salad and salmon roe pancake, which were incredible. We also have the borscht, which was authentic and refreshing. Afterwards, we have the home made Mente dumplings, which was so juicy and meaty. We also open a bottle of Rose, which also tasted good. We then have the pork sausage which was so grest that no word can describe it. For the main course, we started with the pork kebab which goes very well with the home made sauce. Furthermore, we also have the cabbage rolls snd the fish patties with mashed potatoes, which all tasted great, the mashed potatoes was so creamy. We also have a glass of Italian red wine and two draught beer, which was very good too. For desert, we have the home made napoleon cake, which was such a perfect ending for this great meal.More
I was craving Russian food after spending weeks in Asia. Dacha didn’t disappoint us. Cute atmosphere and delicious food were a nice surprise to us. More
Ended up here around 11pm ravenous after a party. Service was friendly and charming and Polish/Russian/Ukrainian fare was well prepared and solid. Will probably return. More
I was hoping that this restaurant would be good, so that I could return and get my fix of East European food (having been brought up on such food). Sadly not. The beetroot salad I was offered which was not on the menu was quite pleasant, but the ghoulash was a major disappointment. I asked for paprika, since it barely had any taste, and a pointless powder came along. I asked for something stronger, and was presented with 3 odd spices, none of which did the job. A real shame, as such a gap in the restaurant market of Hong Kong, but they have no intention of properly filling it. Thumbs down.More
