We stay in the beginning of COVID-19 pandemic. Bali is quiet, but Fairmont keeps its excellent services. The Hotel has access to the beach, which is a big plus. Other facilities: gym, swimming pool, spa and restaurants are excellent. Those are what you can expect from Fairmont brand. We will definitely will return to Fairmont, and recommend the Hotel to our friends and family.Read more
We had 7 wonderful days at Fairmont Sanur from 3-10 March. It is spectacular. Panoramic views, comfortable, spacious, rooms, lush gardens, a lovely pool, well maintained beach access, a truly tranquil spa, restaurants with high quality and beautifully presented food, ready access to the attractions and services of Sanur and above all else, outstanding service. Every staff member we met was genuinely friendly and focussed on ensuring our well-being and enjoyment. This included reception, front office, the young men who organised bikes for us, pool attendants, those responsible for preparing and maintaining our room and ensuring we had fresh towels and adequate water, and the ever so charming spa staff and even the gardiners. The massages were a dream. We had the great pleasure of meeting Muliana, the Food and Beverage Manager, whom we had heard about from friends. What a charming and charismatic man. His staff are obviously well chosen, highly trained and motivated, always prepared to engage in interested conversation, remembering the little things like seating, food and drink preferences, and displaying real enthusiasm for their job and a grasp of customer service. Janu, Wira, Hendra and Rika were amongst the staff with whom we had most contact and all were bright, engaging and conscientious. Breakfast was a real highlight and a perfect way to start the day. The environment is serene, the food imaginative and artfully presented, the coffee, juice blends and herbal teas a lovely accompaniment. And of course, the service! Can't help thinking the food and beverage service is a reflection of Muliana himself. It is our firm intention to return to the Fairmont Sanur Beach. Our thoughts and prayers are with the staff as they deal with the COVID crisis.Read more
This hotel is a resting point in the turbulent environment. You can relax completely, not least because of the fantastic staff, who do everything to make you feel at home. Everything is perfect, the service, the location right by the sea and the beautiful breakfast. Thanks a lot for a few wonderful days. By the way, the Balinese massages are unsurpassed.Read more
The moment I arrived at the main gate, the security team greeted me with warm welcome. The receptions are very friendly and they recognized us as a repeater guest.A knowledgeable butler took us to the room, large space for the children to play around. A huge patio overlooking to the lush tropical garden, gave the feeling at ease when you woke up in the morning. A world class Layang Restaurant with mouth watering dishes pemper your tastebuds, two tumbs up to the chef. Not to mention the large swimming pool overlooking the sanur beach, a little piece of heaven.Read more
We spent a week at the fairmont sanur. For the most part we had a really lovely and relaxing time. We stayed in a two bedroom villa with a private pool which our two girls loved swimming in daily. They also had access to the large pool and the beach. I was disappointed by the kids club- the staff were great but the room is small and has no windows. There is no play equipment. I would recommend fairmont consider utilising the rarely used club house as the kids club and investing in some outdoor play equipment (under shade) for the kids. We enjoyed daily massages which were great and we were also happy with the in-room dining and Layang Layang restaurant. I do not recommend eating at Pier 8 though as my husband got sever stomach upset after eating seafood there. The resort is in an excellent location- walking distance to lots of great restaurants and shops. Definitely recommend soul in a bowl, and Phang Pho. My only other small criticism is that the staff would not give us a late checkout, even though resort was only at 40% occupancy. This was disappointing and meant wandering the resort from 2pm until we departed for the airport at 6pm. Not ideal with two young kids when you can’t swim and there are limited other activities! All in all a great holiday and we loved having a private villa with the amenities of a larger resort! Thank you for an enjoyable stay.Read more
