Let me start by saying this hotel is a hidden gem. I have been visiting Dubai several years and have stayed at several hotels on the Palm, normally staying at the Atlantis and in comparison to those, Fairmont the Palm is a cut above the rest! I want to start by mentioning Mr Ahmed Abdelnaeim (Front office Manager) who treated me like I had been visiting for years rather than my first time and ensured our stay was nothing short than spectacular, Kamila (Front Desk) - unfortunately I've lost the name of the lady who checked us in and our housekeeping staff who were awesome and so attentive. Fairmont is conveniently located on the base of the palm but do not let that put you off, the views from the hotel of West Beach, Dubai Marina, Palm, and city views are amazing. I was visiting with two friends and we had originally booked a sea view queen bedroom, staff had arranged everything we had requested in advance including an additional bed, high up room and even checked us in early (our flight landed at 7am on the check in day), not long after being in our room we were visited with a cake for my best friends 30th birthday (this wasn't even requested!!) and again, I believe this was all sorted by Mr (Ahmed) Abdelnaeim. We decided to inquire about a larger room, I managed to catch Mr Ahmed before a meeting however despite his meeting, he took the time to arrange for a member of staff to show me a suite before we decided to upgrade and I was completely blown away. I can only suggest you look at my photos and the other photos other travelers have uploaded of the suites but they are a MUST!!! We were allocated room 817 with panoramic views of the city, Marina, Bluewater Island and partial views of the palm. The view was out of this world. We had a large double balcony, living area, table and chairs, separate toilet, large bathroom with bath/shower and a large king size bed. Again, without even asking the staff brought two additional beds to our room for my friends. We were just blown away by the quality of the suites with the large balcony and views. The hotel has two large pools (one for children) and a childrens play park with water fountains, getting a sunbed wasn't difficult and the hotel even supply water with your towels when you collect. There is a large private beach with a netted off area in the sea. There is some construction going on next to the beach but this didn't disrupt us whatsoever. We were half board and visited the buffet restaurant (Flow Kitchen) for breakfast and a few nights of our ten night stay, there is a selection of food available and the staff attended to my dietary needs. There could possibly be more of a selection in the buffet as some nights we did find it limited, other nights there were lots to our taste. As part of the half board package we visited Little Miss India, BA Boldly Asian and Frevo (100 AED supplement). I have reviewed BA Boldly Asian and Frevo separately but both restaurants were amazing so much so we visited more than once. Mr Ahmed warned us in advance to be hungry when visiting Frevo and boy was he not wrong!!! The food was just amazing as was the atmosphere, live entertainment and staff faultless and so attentive, likewise to Boldly Asian. We did use the spa facilities on one evening after being in the sun, the only thing the spa is missing is a Jacuzzi - I did notice some rooms with Jacuzzi's on the balcony though! All in all, this hotel is the best I have stayed in Dubai and a hidden gem, so much so I have booked to return in September it just went beyond my expectations and I am sure it will yours too. Please take my word for it and book a suite - ask for a high up room and you will not be disappointed!More
So we had been planning a visit to Dubai for some time. When better to go than our tenth wedding anniversary child free which is rare. After a lengthy flight we were picked up from the airport and dropped off at what I can only describe as one of the best hotels I’ve seen. A lovely gentleman greeted us at the door and opened the car door for us and got our cases out. He had a huge smile on his face like he genuinely enjoyed his job. We walked into the spectacular lobby area which firstly smelt great. I worked out the pump a scent into the air. The building is authentic, classy, in modern style Arabic style without loosing the Arabian feel. Water features to view and beautiful flowers to smell. We were guided to the reception where we met Kossivi. Again great smile and made us feel so welcome. He asked us how our flight was and what our plans were. I explained we were there for our tenth wedding anniversary. I explained that when we got married we never had a honeymoon as I was in the military and shortly after getting married I deployed over seas. Kossivi seems touched by this and disappeared for a moment. Upon his return he said your room is ready and I’ve upgraded you to a sea view room. I was left speechless. Truly amazing member of staff. Kossivi is an absolute credit to the hotel and would be a disaster to loose him. Up to the room we went and the room was impeccable. Clean, in fact immaculate. Amazing view from the room towards the wheel and Dubai Marina. The room was lovely and cool from the air conditioning and had good amenities like tea coffee water. The bed was outstanding, i didn’t have a bad nights sleep. I’m now looking to match it at home. The bathroom was great with lovely Elemis toiletries. The hotel as a whole was stunning. Not a thing out of place. The pool area was beautiful. Plenty of beds and a very relaxing area to be. They play music across the pool which makes it even more relaxing. You can go out the back and onto the beach which again is immaculate. Very few people are on the beach to be honest. On a couple of the nights we went to Flow kitchen where there was a huge selection of food to choose from which was to the highest of standards. High quality fresh and extremely tasty. It was as if I was eating in a top notch restaurant. Now let’s talk about the staff. Every single staff member we came across was friendly, caring and genuinely wanted you to feel welcome and at home. This hotel has some of the best staff I have come across. Forget the luxury, forget the location forget all of that. It’s these staff members at this hotel that make the Fairmont truly special. These staff members are truly special and deserve the respect they have earned. They earned it through hard work and great attitude to their work. Well done Fairmont. You made our tenth wedding anniversary special. So much so we’ve booked to come back in May 2023. Thank you. I have left a review on the individual restaurants at the hotels we ate at. Sorry one thing I would say. On an evening we found we didn’t know what to do at the hotel. I’d love to see entertainment but I appreciate this is not the hotel for that potentially.More
Stayed at the Fairmont for a week. The service and atmosphere was amazing. The staff could not do more for you. The room was immaculate and Shubham was very friendly and welcoming. He did a great job! Thank you again.More
This is one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted like we were royalty, given waters and wash rags. And promptly checked in. Our room was immaculately clean and spotless and the woman who cleaned our room,(her name was rupei) went ABOVE and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay. She remembered us through the halls and had a genuine care for us and I am going to miss her! If I could give her a 2000/10, I would! Absolutely amazing. Every member if the Staff was incredibly kind and I couldn't have asked for a better stay. (Khalid and Rupei were a couple of the names we remember but everyone was beyond amazing.)More
