This is my 4th stay at Flamingo by the beach and highly recommended. All the staff & management are very friendly and always go the extra mile to make our stay pleasant. The buffet restaurant is excellent with a wide range of Asian and western dishes, all food is of high quality. Room accommodation is very good and beds are comfortable, with room service everyday. Unfortunately this year my holiday was interrupted due to the Corona Virus (COVID19) which placed the whole Island of Penang in lock down. The hotel Management could not do enough to ensure our stay was most comfortable during the pandemic. I would like to thank personally the General Manager Mr Ong and his front office Manager Para . K. We could not have been looked after any better. I shall certainly return soon to Flamingo By The Beach. Once again, thank you for a lovely stay with you all.Read more
I have visited this hotel for quite a few years now and never leave disappointed. At the entrance you are greeted by the bell boys who all seem so happy and warmly welcome you. The reception staff are friendly as are all the staff at this hotel. The breakfast has a good selection with most nationalities cared for. The hotel is situated on the beach at Tanjung Bunga which is a great spot as theres only a few hotels here. The beach is never overcrowded although there are jet skis and various water rides available. The pool area is clean with plenty of sun loungers. This year we had problems with the coronavirus leading to a lockdown of Malaysia. Our flights were cancelled and we weren't sure when we would leave. The general manager, Mr Ong, couldn't have done more for us. He checked up on us each day and asked how he could make us more comfortable or assist us. If we didn't see him the front office manager, Para. K, would make a point of seeing us. We were made to feel safe and welcome. I cannot recommend this hotel and its staff highly enough. Thanks to you allRead more
3 nights at the hotel was fairly a nice stay. Right from check in to checkout. The only issue was the air-conditioning in our room that wasn't not cold but all was rectified with a phone call. Ample parking is available at the hotel ground. Our room was clean and besides the air-conditioning nothing else was bothersome. Amenities were all available, towel changed daily and clean sheets. Breakfast was ample with mix of local, Western and vegetarian. Staff at the coffee house was attentive. The pool was clean and beach was well maintained too. Would return in the near future if we visit Penang island againRead more
From the moment we arrived were made to feel welcome. Our room was ready,a large room with a beautiful sea view and large balcony. Each morning we swam in the lovely clean, large pool, before being greeted by the staff at breakfast. This meal, and a meal it was, is an excellent start to the day with food that would suit all nationalities. Although the Flamingo Hotel was busy the staff never failed to please with any request. We stayed here for 14 nights, departed for a short trip then returned for another 15 nights. We loved the ambience, service and relaxation. We shall return.Read more
After twelve visits to Penang I have found my favourite hotel in Tanjung Bungah, halfway between old Georgetown and Batu Feringhi. My seaview room with balcony offers a stunning view of the other high rises and the bay, while dining on the excellent room service food I watch cruiseships pass in the dark on their way to Singapore. The pool is 40 m long so I can swim distance every day quite undisturbed. The beach below has fine white sand with sea shells to pick, the water is muddy everywhere on the island. A grand breakfast with international and local dishes is served both inside and out in the garden. There are several food festivities during weekend, showing up for Sunday brunch dressed in orange gives you a reduction. The bus 101 from the ferry stops right in front of the hotel.Read more
