This hotel is fantastic! The location is beautiful and you will feel like you are away from the business of Dubai and able to unwind and relax. The staff are so welcoming, friendly and hands on there was no need to note names as every one of them did a fantastic job! Our room was lovely, spacious, with a cottage vibe and the balcony overlooking the green and mountains is perfect! We came for mother's day weekend so it was a shame the facilities were closed as we wanted to make use of the spa and outdoor games but we had a wonderful time nevertheless and we're still able to visit the animals outside: we particularly enjoyed watching the peacocks crossing the road and shaking their feathers. The food in the hotel restaurant is very good, the chef really knows what he is doing! We also loved the little chef treats you are given in between meals such as the lemon and mint sorbet which is a gest pallette cleanser before your main meal. Lastly, I must commend the hotel for being so accommodating, as I was working online I was unable to make it to breakfast and the staff kindly brought breakfast to my room instead, which really was a nice touch! Thank you JA Hatta Fort Hotel, I will most definitely be back again!More
Well Manicured landscape, Plenty of space to explore. Staff and the service was below expectation. Booked two interconnecting rooms ,There was no electricity in the rooms during the check in. Took 45 minutes and 03 follow ups to fix it. Accused me of missing wine bottle in mini bar even though it was clarified during the check out. Still they sent an staff member to car park and stopped me from leaving. It was very embarrassing and unprofessional. It seems that hotel doesn't have proper mini bar procedure in place for check outs. I strongly suggest not to send staff members to stop vehicles from leaving for mini bar related issues.More
The setting of this hotel is spectacular - right in the midst of the Hatta mountains. The grounds are lovely and full of activities - large well maintained grassy areas with a mountain lookout, kids and adult pools, archery, mini golf, a deer petting area and spa. There is so much to do and the Hatta dam and hiking trails are also only a short drive away. The reception and rooms are all quite retro, which I loved. Our room was large, with an outdoor balcony area, looking over the grass and out into the mountains. The shower was decent and the large bed very comfortable. We ordered room service - a burger, mixed grill and Greek salad. The good was not spectacular but ok. Breakfast is normally a buffet but currently a la carte only - again, our banana waffle and eggs Florentine, with a selection of sides, hash browns, mushrooms and beef bacon, were just fine. The staff were all lovely and the stay was great - lovely to get out into the wilderness just 90 minutes outside Dubai. A very good stay.More

Went for one night as a family of four. The setting is unusual for the UAE, set amidst bare, rock faced mountains. The drive there is also unusual and takes you through the rural part of Dubai that is so different to the city. The hotel has recently been refurbished. We had two adjoining rooms and they were excellent, nearly a 5* standard apart from the facts that neither safe worked and the window door in one of the rooms wouldn’t lock. The beds were huge and very comfortable and the rooms were generously sized with a nice sitting area. The grass lawns were great and our kids rolled down hills and did the sort of thing they would normally do in Dubai. There is an adults only pool and a family pool, both clean but neither very interesting or artistically designed. Breakfast - pretty good with the standard fare, egg station etc and a pork license so real bacon. Lunch buffet - not great at all, bland and boring buffet fare, so much so that I managed not to overeat. Dinner - we had curries, not bad but cheap brown chicken where they should be using breast meat. Buffet looked boring. Service slow, not enough staff. Those staff that were there were definitely working hard and not slacking by they needed more. Activities - The dam offered an hour of entertainment. Our kids too young to hike. Unless you enjoy hiking in rocky landscapes or have an activity such as mountain biking that you are going for I struggle to see how you would fill more than a day or two there. We paid 5* prices so I judge it against 5* hotel criteria where it is lacking. If it was half the price I’d give it 5*. More
