I’ve been going to Eric Kayser on High street for my lunch coffee and sandwich at least a couple times a week for the last couple months and have always had great service and good coffee and acceptable food but this morning I decided to grab a coffee and snack from the one on Caine Road only to find that my chicken and avocado sandwich contained only about 1/4 of the sandwich with actual filling, the rest was just once slice of lettuce and bread. After asking the lady behind the till why my sandwich was mostly just lettuce she just shrugged and said she doesn’t make them, didn’t even apologise or attempt to give me a refund. Disappointed with the whole experience and felt like I was robbed. Definitely not going back to that branch of any at all. Read more
I came across this Maison Kayser branch walking around the Soho area and was very happy to see they have stores in Hong Kong as well! Living in Asia isn't so easy when you love bread and pastry. Maison Kayser has just a phenomenal quality, I get water in my mouth just thinking of it! My favorite is the financier, especially with raspberries! Overall service was great, very friendly folks working at the store, giving the customers a smile :)Read more
Fresh n delicious bread n pastries. Chocolate n cheese croissant was great. Have had kayser rolls as well. But if you are going to serve coffee, make it taste good. Notice the Starbucks bags of walkins just buying breads n parties a little closer next time.Read more
We were delighted to find this cafe after eating at the chain in other cities. We ate breakfast here every morning we were in Hong Kong. The croissants were very good as were the coffee and hot chocolate. It is just a few steps from the escalator at Mid Levels. Service was good. There are just a few bar stools but the turnover is quite frequent. A great way to start the day.Read more
Kept seeing this place from the Mid Levels and finally got the chance to check it out. The decor and style is very classy and typical Parisian. Service was very friendly and the guy working there spoke excellent English. There's a great choice of pastries, cakes, sandwiches and hot drinks. There are some good deals on too so it won't break the bank. I opted for the Almond & Chocolate Danish and it was the best pastry I've ever eaten! Delicious flavours and cooked perfectly. I then went and had two or three more and all of them were delicious. There's free WiFi too which we took advantage of by working for an hour or so. It did get a little chilly while we were sat there but we were right under the air con so what do you expect. Great hot drinks too made this visit one of our favourites of the whole trip.Read more
