We have been dining at Penny University for years now. We had the eggs benedict with smoked salmon & full english breakfast. The pricing is very affordable & the quality of food is delicious. The coffees that we ordered (iced latte and iced gula melaka latte) came in really tiny glasses but the coffee taste was amazing still. We wished the coffee came in bigger glasses though. And the car parking is very very limited here.More
Penny University has been around for quite awhile in East Coast. I enjoy their cosy ambience and good coffee. They've got great scrambled eggs on toast as well.More
Premium charges for food, but horrible standard. Crab smelt bad, eggs burnt on side. Not something I would pay for again. More
Many western coffees may err on the side of being too acidic. But this was really really smooth. I asked for the hot version of their specialty coffee, the Spiked Muddy. So what they did was do a 5 oz espresso with milk, with gula melaka sauce. It was so good that I'd go back again just for the same coffee :) The place was packed on a weekend afternoon. A mix of couples, friends, families, individuals. There's also free WiFi there. The place is a little dimly lit, but it is still worth it for the coffee. More
Heard so much, and read so much reviews about this place and, finally travelled down to give this a try cause.we were heading nearby to an art fair. Came here on a really cold rainy weather, and stepped into the cafe feeling really cold. The service was okay, whereby a waitress would hand us a menu before we head in, for free seating. Seated right in the middle of a packed resturant, yet it was really relaxing and chill to hang out and catch-up. Though space is small, the ambience was nice, and other patrons weren't too loud despite the close seating promixty! Food and coffee came shortly after, it was okay but it wasn't great.More
