Great facility, great service provided. Massage was very relaxing. However, one of the staff members - male, was shouting loud at other employee (femal) in a very disrispectful manner, completly ignoring the fact that we and other customers were siting in the lounge. That put me off.More
First time I tried hammam. I choose Moroccan one and therapist was from Marocco as well(Ahlam). The best spa treatment in my life. I will recommend to everyone. More
I booked a 1 hr Balinese massage with 40% of during the week between 11 am to 16.00 from Sunday to Wednesday. This is one of my favorites spas in Abu Dhabi. From the moment you enter you are given a refreshing glass o water with cucumber and lemon and greeted by warm friendly reception staff. There is plenty of lockers in the changing rooms with Jacuzzi , sauna a steam room. The massage therapist was very attentive, checking in if the pressure was ok. The only negative was the music stopped during the massage and the massage therapist was attempting to fix it , also they just need to be mindful of room temperature as it was rather cool in the room with the air con however the lovely therapist was very accommodating in rectifying the room temperature. There is a lovely relaxation area to relax and enjoy some ginger tea once the massage is over they also provide a little bowl of nuts dates and apricots which is such a treat. There is plenty of bottled water to hydrate, could do with more magazines in the relaxation area. Previously I have used a Groupon which included pool access, there is a really nice pool with pool bar and a good bar menu. I always have the dim sims which are delicious and tasty. As I said before one of my favorite Spas in Abu Dhabi.More
My wife and I went to Saray Spa for a couples massage having never been to the hotel or the Spa before. The Spa reception, which is quite featureless, is also the Hairdresser reception and the main pool reception, so its quite noisy and busy with kids passing through in both directions, and not the peaceful oasis you would normally expect of a Spa. The changing rooms are clean, if a little impersonal and same for the "relaxing" room which was just a holding room for a constant stream of people and staff passing in and out. Not relaxing at all. The massage itself started late (but finished on time!) and was nothing special, and did not resemble the description of a Balinese massage. First massage I've ever had without at least a little pain in the process. The massage room was quite close to the reception and all of the noise from outside could be heard inside so, again, not particularly relaxing. The whole place was also missing that lovely "Spa" smell. All in all, nothing bad but also nothing special and not somewhere I'd be inclined to revisit.More
I used a Groupon to book Hamman baths for a friend and I. I requested for 1 male and 1 female (via email) When checking in, they realized they booked us at the same time and they only had one room. They had no plans to make it right, and rebook one for later. We had to ask. They made me feel like it was my fault for their booking error. I literally have email proof. Anyway, we got it straightened out, sort of. The hammam was great. Mine felt rushed, and I was stressed about my friend not getting the appointment he was expecting. While my friend got his Hamman immediately following mine, I decided to get a haircut. The cut was 120 aed. The man was rude. Said I was lazy for wanting my hair thinned. Implied my previous haircut was was terrible and asked if a woman had cut it last.... He asked if I wanted it blow dried. I assumed it would be another 30-40 aed. I said yes. My bill ended up being 270 aed!!!! And they guy burned my head multiple times while blow drying it... And he curled it, so I couldn't tell it was a terrible choppy haircut until I got home. Once again, the Hamman was great. The pool was nice and cool. Great facility. Terrible salon. More
