Great Thai, Chinese and Vietnamese food, plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. Vegan Pad Thai was my favorite. Tasted authentic. The dumplings were also great. Service was friendly and attentive. It’s advisable to ask for a table on the terrace.

Having your “first” dinner in a country which is the first for your visit can be quite significant. Initially made a reservation at Ling Ling at Atlantis The Royal but as I was drained out due to the flight, decided to settle at Mekong, the Asian Restaurant under Anantara The Palm Dubai. I must say that it did surprised me, as to how good the food was. I would even go to say that the standards are on par as to what you can get in Thailand and in Singapore. Price is on the high side, but that’s expected when it’s in Dubai and in an Anantara property. Worth the visit!

From the minute you walk in the door the experience in Mekong is amazing! The ambiance, the flavours of the food and of course the staff. We started our holiday eating in this restaurant and we had to finish in this restaurant, that’s how good it was.
