I visit this Reaturant twice a year it used to be my number one Reaturant in Kuwait however my last visit was last night July 28 .2022 my guest and I noted lots of difference in food quality most of the items we ordered didn’t taste same way used to be , food was smiling, oil used was used serval times , the famous dish the duck we couldn’t eat it even though they removed it from my bill including the sweats but since I am very old client I don’t wish to see the standard of quality going down . Tambora dish we couldn’t eat it at completely different taste ( not up to standard.). We though the chief is being changed .More
My wife and I have always had a wonderful experience at Peacock, however during our last visit there, our waiter Binu went above and beyond with excellent service and took each comment and request we made to heart and created an enjoyable evening for us at Peacock.More
Starting with food I think some dishes really shined, especially the dim sum and peking duck which I absolutely loved. However, everything else was disappointingly average, which I would’ve been okay with if the price tag was also average, but the restaurant charges Michelin star prices so I expected more out of the vegetarian and seafood main courses we ordered. The service was excellent and attentive. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. If I would come back, I think the duck would be enough to sway me!More
Food and Service - EXCELLENT. The staff is friendly, and well trained. The food was so good, you want to visit again. Bring your special guests here, they will appreciate the experience.More
We have been ordering Chinese food for delivery in Kuwait for 3 years and this was the first time we decided to treat ourselves and order from The Peacock because it’s pretty expensive. I was also working in Kuwait from 1993-1998 and dined and took takeaways at The Peacock many times. Our takeaway order tonight was very disappointing. The spring rolls were oily, the chicken corn soup was bland, the hot and sour soup was actually pretty good but it wasn’t very warm. From here it went downhill. The Peacock style fired rice was the worse fried rice I’ve had in Kuwait. It was dry, tasteless and just not very good . There were clumps of white rice throughout the dish and the only vegetable in the rice was far too many frozen peas. There was some mystery protein, maybe shrimp finely chopped throughout the rice but it was dry. This is a dish that carries their name, Peacock style fried rice, they should be embarrassed to serve such a poor dish. It’s fried rice, any hawker stall in Singapore serves a much better fried rice. We also ordered boneless duck in lemon sauce, the lemon sauce was ok but the duck was dry and chewy. Lastly we’re had Hammour (fish) with oyster sauce. This resembled English fish and chips type fried fish with a few shreds of ginger and wilted spring onions. The oyster sauce was bland and didn’t taste very good at all. It was such as disappointment as I ate here years ago and the food use to be amazing. The quality of the food we received tonight was with out a doubt the worse Chinese meal we have had in Kuwait in the last 3 years which is made worse by the fact that we paid over $US100 for our take away meal for two.
