Before deciding to visit the Cheetah Outreach, I did lots of research on places that allow people to interact with the animals. I’m very careful to not support places that abuse animals, just trying to make profit and just not ethical. I found the cheetah outreach to be the only place that was ethical with a goal in mind. Their goal is to inform and educate farmers to use other ways to protect their livestock from cheetahs rather than use lethal ways. Cheetah Outreach even breeds livestock protective dogs for the farmers.
We chose to do an experience to pet one, and no the cheetah is not drugged or controlled in anyway to stay. He even gave us a little purr while we pet him.
The staff were all very knowledgeable and we learned so much. I would highly recommend for people and families who can have well behaved children. 😊
