I've been several times each year for 3 years. My favourite Bahrain place to go. Ideal for friends or family visiting. Always phone in advance as in windy weather they cancel the boats. The rented houses (85 BD plus) great for a peaceful couple of days. Or rent the huts for 15 BD plus for larger ones. (For shade) You can take your own drinks & food. Bars there and small burger/BBQ restaurant does basic but decent food. Normal prices. Rent jet skis etc. Best days for peace & quite is weekdays. Friday DJ is noisy but you can move to the huts at other parts of the island. Highly recommended. Kids & adults love the boat ride.Read more
Clean and beautiful island. Nice place to enjoy ur weekend. U can take ur food to this island , rent beach shanks, enjoy beach view. Kids played in kids zone. And made sand castle's. If u r going with kids reached in morning after 2.30 cold winds blow in winter. Entry fee for island for adults is 8 BD and kids is 4 BD. Boat ride which took us to al dar island was awesome. We enjoyed our day to al dar island. Read more
An amazing island with turquoise blue waters.Very clean and beautiful. We spent a day on the Island and it was worth it. There are paid huts and chalets but we took the free area. The rest were all booked and thank god for that! The island is a tad expensive so we bought snacks and beverages from outside. Read more

I have visited this island many times over the last few years, and I must say that that my last visit was not as expected. I visited the Island with my family last week, and as usual we rented the Private beach chalet. Unfortunatly apon our arrival to the island we were kept over and hour and half till 3:30pm without being taken to our Chalet, event though the checking in time was clearly mentioned 2pm. The excuse was that they couldn't locate the key and that the Club Cars were out of charge. The service on the island has dropped to a very bad standard. With less staff, dirty bedding, uncleaned huts and also lack of security that let's other visitors wonder into the Private chalet desinated areas. I have also noticed a rise in Jelly Fish in the waters as soon as we get into the beach and it was confirmed by 1 girl catching over 3 jelly fish in less than 5mins of time. I would like to see this Island back to its former glory as it once was and the Management to step up and take responsibility and make changes to improve it for the better.Read more
