For the visitors of Khasab, this place called Atana Musandam Resort, is an oasis of traquility and very good hospitality from the whole personnel of this resort. The resort itself is not huge, but nice and cozy. The rooms are very large comparing with the majority of the hotels I stayed, the bed was very comfy and relaxing, the AC was discreet and reliable. A huge private balcony and a well equipped bathroom compose the whole picture of this lovely place. The breakfast was just fine , without food eccentricity. There are two swimming pools, one for adults and one for the kids. The gym is modest, but the Spa is a wonderland. I tried an Atana signature massage with Suarni and it was heavenly good! Give it a try! I would like to go back next year! The hotel facilitates connection with a company organizing boat trips around the area. Highly recommended! I hope you will enjoy your stay, as we did!More
The hotel has an interesting location, between two shipping channels that are used day and night by small motor boats. In conjunction with a large amount of mosques in the town, whose prayer calls are amplified by the mountain walls surrounding the resort, this doesn't make for a sound sleep. The location is a bit off town, but Khasab doesn't give you a lot of choice in terms of alternatives. The property is well maintained, has a nice pool area next to one sea channel and friendly staff. The rooms are large and functional, the bathrooms big and good. We were positively surprised by the buffet breakfast and dinner, on a Saturday evening they built a big buffet outside with a DJ that was very good. The second day, dinner buffet was inside, with less choice, but still of good quality. More
This is the best resort in Khasab Oman. I stayed the hotel two night. Very enjoyed the time in hotel. Only one things after I checked out I lost the phone in the room and I was left Oman. But the hotel lost and found department is very kind. They found my phone in the room and keep it long time. Because I am living Dubai, looking for some express delivery company which could serve for me. Then the manager send me they have one security manager can deliver to Dubai for me. Thanks a lot to Atana musandam hotel. Finally I got my phone.More
This was a relaxing half term trip for us, seeing around Musandam and our guide booked us into the Atana. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful- but they (and others) seem woefully understaffed. At 4pm, our rooms were not ready as they weren’t cleaned yet- one small team were cleaning a fully booked hotel. Eventually, the receptionist checked us in then took our bags to our rooms leaving a queue of 10+ people waiting as that too seemed to be his job. Not his fault- he himself was very efficient- but he just seemed to have far more to do than could be managed by the reception team as it stood. The hotel is beautiful and has a kids pool and an adults only infinity pool- which, the twice we went there was full of children. This is understandable as there is no sign at the actual pool to indicate it was the adults-only pool. The restaurant is lovely and the food is delicious. The wait staff were really attentive and helpful. One huge pitfall was the DJ blasting out heavy bass rave music while we were eating (at 7pm.) This music went on until maybe 10:30 pm and was audible from my room, which was vibrating with the bass. Multiple times I had to call down to reception later on at night to ask if it could be turned down. And, to her credit, when we asked the DJ herself to turn the bass down, she did (for a while, before it was turned up again). I don’t mind at all having some sort of ambient music at dinner, but this was just completely incongruous with the character of the hotel and I felt more as though I was at a nightclub than in a resort. I did enjoy my stay there- it was a very convenient place to see around Musandam; but not sure I could recommend it to a friend. More
