Balkan Food Factory

Ok this review is based on my experience ordering from talabat but I have to add that I do live close to city center so I did get my food hot. Where to even start. I had a small promotion on talabat to order from a selected few restaurants for a discounted price and since I am from Bosnia and hadn’t had homemade cevapi or other Bosnian food in a while I decided to order from here. To be honest already the pricing is a bit high for some of the products. Cevapi is the Bosnian equivalent of shawarma and this should not cost more than 40qar(even 40 is borderline too much for a dish that is basically seen as street food in Bosnia). Since I had a discount I got the cevapi for 40… I also saw that they had different type of pies and decided to go with zeljanica this costed 7 and that was well priced or so I thought. When the food arrived I was first happy about the cevapi since it smelt nice but then I saw the zeljanica and this is where my opinion changed quickly. It was small. Like very small and I got disappointed. Not only was it small it was dried too. It was hard as a rock almost and you had to hold and bite it. Was really not how I was expecting it to be. Then I started to taste the cevapi and yeah I got a familiar taste and couldn’t possibly figure out why it was familiar until I remembered that Lidl sells their own cevapi and this were very similar to those. I can’t say if it is in fact store bought or homemade but they lacked flavor and were a bit bland. All in all a very disappointing experience. I really wanted to like it though since I feel Bosnian food does not get the recognition it deserves. The food has so much influence from different parts of the world and it makes it very interesting and quite cool! But sadly this particular restaurant does not represent what Bosnian food is about and therefore I can’t recommend it.

The food is really tasty 😋... i ordered Bosnian 🇧🇦 cevapcici (lamb minced meet 😋 😍) it was really nice .. and beef and cheese 🧀 burek ( but it's too oily and feels heavy 😫) .. service is taking long time to prepare the order, however the end result is always good 👌

This was one of the worst burger i have ever had from Balkan City Center Doha Food Court at third floor. My advise, dont waste your money on their burger. First thing first, it was tiny as kids meal while they portrayed as a mighty burger. I am ok even if its tiny but atleast speak truth and tell me the actual size. Secondly, in pictures they displayed it like full of chicken, salids, sauces etc in terms of presentation, but it was not even 10% of what you see and choose to eat it. I understand that its a marketing trick but come on guys, atleast make it 50% look like the photo you are displaying and people pay for. It was supper flat and initially i thought it has only salid leaf. All i had was, one half cutted thin chicken brest fillet and a leaf of Iceberg with some sauce on it. That's it. I would have no problem if it displayed the same in pictures. I consider it as a deception to customers. Fries were good. Thanks

I ordered the Macedonian borek. It was horrible. Way too oily, burnt at the bottom and the meat smells-I suspect they used lamb, judging by the colour, smell and texture. Passing this rubbish off as food should be sanctioned.

This is not a typical burger or sandwich you will have, the main focus here is on textures and taste which is the essence of Balkan food. I recommend the chicken pastrmajlija, the Bosnian kebabs, and the Macedonian burek! Well done you guys!
