I have had a curly hair cut and styling here with Erica.
She seems to know basic things about curly hair care. The salon is well equipped with products and hardware typically used in curly hair salons. The staff is friendly and the overall vibe is nice. The other stylists are trained in curly hair styling. Yet, as an experienced user of curly hair routine care, I can see some areas for improvement.
I have low-porosity wavy hair 2B-2C. And yet, the recommendations I was given were nothing different to those typically given for high-porosity hair (no sulfates in shampoo, co-washing etc.). So it's definitely is a thing to learn for the team.
I was not really happy with my haircut, either. Erica have used thinning scissors on my hair before I could stop her, which came unexpected - I would definitely say no to that if offered to discuss that in advance. That resulted in a poor clumping pattern all the way afterwards.
The overall haircut shape was not flattering to my face once I was out of salon and having to manage it by myself. Erica had the idea to cut it much shorter than the reference I gave, and it didn't work out really well. Also, it requires a certain skill to cut shorter styles on low-porosity hair. It would be certainly for the best if they acquire this skill level someday.
Otherwise, is a nice place for someone with curly or wavy hair. Just be extra clear about not using thinning scissors on your hair, and think twice before opting for shorter haircuts, which is probably not quite their thing.
